What does this radio module do

The radio module allows you to do a number of things by turning knobs rather than bringing up the radio stack in a separate window. For instance, you can manually put in the Comm 1 and Comm 2 radio frequencies when you are being handed over to the next air traffic controller. You can similarly select your VOR frequencies for Nav 1 and 2, as well as the ADF and DME. Finally, you can enter the SQUAWK code (XPDR) when assigned one by ATC. The frequencies and other codes etc display in red LED letters on the radio module when you turn the selector knob to the required setting. It all adds another level of realism to flight simulation. I use miner all the time now instead of clicking on the options in the ATC window. Hope this helps.

Can be used with X-Plane and on a Mac

This is excellent, i bought it for Xplane and use on my Mac. It will not work straight away out of the box with x-plane but no fear, goto this website http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=14646 and you will be able to download the plugin for it. Makes FLight Simulation Easier

Good add-on to FSX. Much easier than hinting for the relevant radio control panel. This generally works well but can be slightly tricky to set-up.

it's for looks you know that right?

I was looking for radio panel for a month and I had no choice in the end buy to buy Saitek, I've looked at custom made ones even those from abroad but they exceeded my budget and they didn't look as good as saitek. so despite the bad comments about the dials I went ahead and I can say I am happy with them, I've installed them for Windows 10 and using the plugins and drivers from saitek website I really can't complain much about the dials, sometimes when I fire the simulator the first time they don't turn on so I unplug one of the usbs and plug back in then they work flawlessly, yes I have to adjust slightly weired as one dial click doesn't mean it's one digit but after couple of tries I gotten used to this and I can switch frequencies without issues besides it's really meant for the looks as you still have to use the keyboard and press "1" to make your request after you dial the frequency anyway.I also replaced the left knobs straight away with bigger ones, it was just a matter of pulling them out very easy cheap quick mod.Prosyou get 4 displays and Com, Nav, DME and Transponder in 1 unit!looks so good easy to install on top of the yokecompatible with win 10, 8, 7 "64bit"consdials take time to get used to switch frequencies "turn slower than normal"dials bit hard to turn but not as bad as described.

Good product once it is working

Good product once it is working. Saitek stuff is very difficult to install on your computer. I like the hardware once it is working but honestly do not see how Saitek can release a product that is so expensive and will not work for most users out of the box. Unless you are computer literate you will have difficulties getting it to work.
