## Description

Kibbit Movers is an engaging board game that improves vocabulary and categorization skills. In the easier level children sort household items by rooms. Blank pieces give children practice in listing by category while still having the visual support of a captivating house mockup designed with just the right amount of detail to jumpstart visualization. Children really enjoy moving the engaging "mover" characters through the house as they label and sort household items. In the advanced level, children use the blank pieces to fill up the rooms in the outlined house. Children are therefore encouraged to visualize scenes independently and to access their developing semantic webs. Associating items by place is one of the earlier categorization skills that children develop and is important foundation for developing higher categorization skills, vocabulary, and inferencing skills. You’ll be amazed at how effortlessly children will improve in these skills while having fun playing “Kibbit Movers”!

Review: Well made, FUN and also educational! - I bought this for my 3 year old to play with her siblings. It's hard to find games the other kids are willing to play with her and this seemed to be simple enough for her, yet engaging enough for the 9 and 10 year old. It was! First, they both had fun punching out the square "items". (I recommend storing them in a ziploc bag so they don't get lost.) The board was larger than I was expecting. My kids actually played! Together! Naming items and sorting by their use/location in the house. I liked that there were different play options, to make the game more challenging for my older kids if they wanted to play it with friends, and not with my 3 year old! My background in speech and language is compelling me to add that this is a great game for developing speech and language. There are so many ways this can be used therapeutically, both to encourage articulation and for categorization and other language/thinking skills. The price was not cheap, but worth it for a game that is well-made and seems sturdy enough to last even in my crazy house, where games tend to get wrecked pretty fast. High hopes for this one. The cardboard is thick, the pieces are sturdy. I think my kids will get to enjoy this game many, many times.
Review: Poorly manufactured - Cheaply made. The board ripped within a few days of use, and the blank tiles had a bunch of water stains. Grimy. Not very durable. The pictures on the tiles are tiny. I was bummed because it has good potential for SLPs -good for vocab, functions, prepositions, locations, turn-taking etc. I expected better quality for the price.
