Update (again): This corkscrew is worth its weight in Gold. I recently used a very expensive unit that belonged to w very wealthy fellow...quite beautiful it was. AND His $200? unit was finished a bit more refined than this unit but this one is so well made and great looking that it can be used as a great Gift Item...which I have done now twice! I did coat both of my wooden handles with my wife's Clear fingernail polish which added a nice touch. I recommend the PAKKA wood over the Rosewood (my first choice) as it shows better.Update: I bought another one of these corkscrews as I decided to keep one in my car for travel purposes. I can't say enough good things about this product. It has exceeded my expectations.While in Texas visiting the wine country in Fredericksburg, I bought a two-bottle wine cork-exterior travel cooler case. The case came with an inexpensive dangerous sharp edged steel cheap corkscrew. What I like most about this new corkscrew (shown here) is its looks and rounded edges that don't hurt my hand during bottle opening. This unit is the perfect product to do just that and it is a designer brand (imo). I especially like the rounded edges and finish... beautiful unit. I highly recommend this product.

I’m on my 5th wine key by this brand. I love them. The quality just looks nice and expensive. I get compliments by everyone with the colors. My only issue would be the color breaks off if you tend to drop it, and I have. It does get loose with constant use which I’m a bartender so I am always using it. The knife has stayed sharpe! It’s definitely worth the money! I will continue to buy these!

This is second purchase for a gift. At least for me it required some practice to achieve smooth operation.

the metal lever needs To have a 2nd notch for the first pull of the cork. This is a good looking unit just designed more for looks rather than function. Cheaper looking waiters openers will have that notch. Not terrible, just a little extra english to ease the cork out.

I have bought so many wine openers...they have all broken eventually. This one is simple, uncomplicated, easy to use, and at least looks like it will be unbreakable. I can't see any part of it that could malfunction. It doesn't need batteries, so it won't ever die on you, no motor to kill, no parts that might come apart (I managed to kill 3 Pampered Chef wine openers)... I suspect I will never need to buy another wine opener, and it even has a little knife built in to cut the foil. Start to finish, my wine bottle is open in less than a minute. Happy me.

This type wine opener is perfect and easy to use. Price was outstanding.
