Perfect for the Bose SoundDock II
I bought this to use on my Bose SoundDock II and it works really well.Key benefits:1 - The sound quality is crystal clear - no white noise or humming.2 - I've set it up to pair with my PC and my iPhone, and the Dual Pair function allows the iDock to connect to both devices at the same time, so it automatically detects which one is playing audio, which is very handy. E.g. if I play music on my PC and then stop the music and play a podcast on my iPhone, the iDock will automatically switch from the PC to the iPhone without me needing to press anything.3 - The iDock remembers what it's paired to, so there's no need to keep repairing it each time you use a device. For example, every time I turn my PC on throughout the week the iDock connects automatically without me having to do anything.4 - The blue light flashes when it's pairing, but then stays on once it's connected, which is ideal. Many rival devices flash constantly once connected, which would be very annoying as my Bose is next to my PC so the flashing would be distracting.5 - The customer support team at Layen are very helpful and emailed me a couple of times to check that the device was working properly and to make sure I was happy with its performance.6 - It comes in a nice box (see photos), so would be ideal to give to someone as a gift.7 - The instruction manual is very clear to follow and explains the functions well. Also, it's worth highlighting that the Bose remote control doesn't interact with the paired device via the iDock (e.g. I cant use the remote to skip or pause songs on my iPhone), so the remote is only used for changing the volume of the SoundDock or for turning the SoundDock on and off. This is fine for me, so not a problem. The only downside with the product is that when I turn the Bose off using the Bose remote, the iDock stays on. I guess it's because the power to the 30 pin connection remains constant even when the speakers are off. This is annoying as it means the blue light is always on even when the speakers are off, which is irritating, but this is unavoidable I guess. (I know can unplug the speaker each time, but that's a hassle). It would be good if the iDock had an on/off button on the side.Overall, I'm very happy with it and would certainly recommend it.

Great little gadget
I bought this to attach to a Gear4 "HouseParty" boom box device which I used thus far with line in. The Gear4 has an iPod connector which was no use to me as I have no devices which fit it. The i-SYNC was a frivolous purchase looking to use an otherwise useless feature on something I already owned, I didn't really need it. The killer feature for me is no need for a separate power supply. There are loads of BT accessories which require a separate DC supply or USB connection, or even worse a USB connection which won't work when the device is on. The i-Sync does not suffer from this shortcoming so it scores highly on convenience.I am pleasantly surprised though. It connects really easily with two different Android phones and plays music without trouble. It's hard to assess the sound quality because the Gear4 itself isn't great, but with the volume cranked up to 30 (who needs 11?) it sounds pretty good. There were no technical problems at all and it works really well. This is a tiny little box - smaller than I had expected. I was concerned about it fitting in the available aperture around the iPod connector but this worry was unfounded. It's really little and fits in easily. The downsides are minor but are worth knowing about:- there's a flashing red/blue LED which is on quite a lot of the time, even when not in use and in my case at least, where the device it's connected to is in standby. Fine, I covered it over with some black insulating tape and got over it.- the iSYNC will connect automatically to a phone maybe 50% of the time. The rest I have to select it in the phone menu and prompt it to connect. This is true for both phones I tried. It's fine but the unpredictability makes it slightly less of a delight to use. This seems to be common with Bluetooth generally.- it's not the cheapest. It's reasonably priced, but there are cheaper and very similar alternatives. Of course, the quality may vary!Overall I'm very happy and would certainly by another one if I get another item with a proprietary iPod input.

Amazing product
I have a series 1 Bose docking station for the original large iPod fitting, it’s been gathering dust for years since iPod died so decided to dump it. I thought prior to consigning it to the tip I would see if there were any other options to continue using it, found this attachment and wow it works, easy to install and pair I now run the Bose from my iPhone. It’s amazing highly recommend

Good, easy to connect
Good piece of kit to keep the older speakers in use. But there is a crackling sound that can be heard in the background when using.

Excellent!
My retired Bose Sound Dock is now back in use with this clever little gadget. Works straight out of the box, so easy to setup and use. Cannot rate highly enough.
