For right handers
I just want to point out that these are for right handers as one tip is longer for the middle finger it doesn’t work for a left handed person. I bought these so my child could touch books without having a melt down about the rough texture of pages so I will be disconnecting them anyway but would have been returning them if I had bought them for the purpose they were made for. I feel it should be put in the description to avoid others being disappointed.

As described
My 5 year old son was recently seen by a occupational therapist. He struggles with his pencil grip and a number of grip aids were tried and this was the best one.I bought these to assist him at home and sent one in school with him. This used in conjunction with a small object under his last two fingers to increase stability seems to be working really well.

Success
I bought these for a boy in my year 2 class who wouldn't hold his pencil properly. That was about 2 months ago. He loved it! And now he holds any pencil properly. After Christmas I reckon we'll be able to take it off of him. This grip has really helped and I was surprised to find that they are actually quite comfortable to use.I have also tried one with one of my special educational needs children - it is taking a little longer but there is definitely progress. I would definitely recommend.

Ordered for my class to try help those stubborn bad habits and they work a treat. A bit tight on larger triangular pencils and dry wipe pens but work well enough.

Recommended by the OT for my daughter
Recommended by the OT for my daughter. The first one broke very easily and three of them are left handed (she is right handed). They have made an improvement to her handwriting but £12 for the 2 she can use is quite expensive. Would but again but from a cheaper source.

Value for money
I chose this item as my children have low muscle tone and find writing with pressure difficult, this item has helped them somewhat, i just think it would be great if the claws were tighter fitting. otherwise superb item

My five year old son is having great difficulty learning to write and hold a pencil
My five year old son is having great difficulty learning to write and hold a pencil. He is also left handed which makes it hard for me, being right handed, to show him the correct grip. He now has the grip on a pencil at school and the school are highly interested in the design for more children to use them.
