Odd but good
I owned one of the Yamaha silent guitars a few years back. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this stands up against it. The sound quality is excellent though it could do with having a bit of reverb and possibly chorus built in. For the money, though it is really pretty good. I had to do a bit of work to get the action down as it was ridiculously high when it arrived. A little bit of shaving off of the bridge and some work with the trust fraud sorted it out and it plays really well now. The neck is quite sick but if you are an acoustic player, they should not present you with any problems at all. If you are an electric player, I understand that the company does on , electric guitar version as well It packs away really well into the curry bag that it comes with. This is actually of pretty good quality and provides sufficient space and padding for the instrument. It comes with a shoulder strap and is actually really easy and light to take around with you. I mainly use it in my little home studio to provide acoustic guitar, when I don’t want to wake up the rest of the family or the neighbours. It has also been on several vacations with me and, with a set of headphones, it is absolutely brilliant. I’ve also used it with one of these little portable amplifiers that positive Grid make and it sounded awesome . Would recommend us to anybody who is looking for a travel acoustic or for something that is just a little bit different for mocking about with either in small gigs or in the studio.

Light-weight and well made
Easily assembled and tuned using the hex key provided. Very portable and light weight and the pickup & pre-amp work well. Very nice finish and, all told, an ingenious design. Only downside I've found is the 9v battery seems to drain its charge fairly quickly and is probably best removed until you wish to play the guitar.

A FANTASTIC GOOD QUALITY DONNER PRODUCT..
The Donner Hush-I Guitar has a smooth satin finish in black and once put together looks great, It is very easy to tune with included Allen key which is stored in the guitar body it is also used to put the guitar together, This is a electric Acoustic guitar and it does what it was intended to do very well and especially at this price point , The included earphones and tuner are a welcome addition, I have the Hush-I mounted on the wall in my music studio and I have used it every evening since it arrived I find it very light and convenient to use, It has a very good quality padded carry case with a shoulder strap which doubles as a guitar strap Donner also include some guitar picks and a small storage case for the earphones, I was also pleasantly surprised with the quality of the included lead which had propper 1/4 Jack plugs Donner have included everything you need in this well thought out guitar package I do have several other Donner product's in my studio from lead guitars to the Donner 88 key SE-1 Piano in Red which came as a package with a black stand with built in triple foot pedals which in my opinion is also a very good quality Donner product.. The reason I buy Donner is for the quality and reliability of all there products, There customer service department is excellent if I need advice or support they are always happy to Help Its Definitely worth keeping a eye on Donner for any new innovative products.

Perfect travel companion
I’m a newbie, taking lessons but travel frequently on work and wanted to buy a travel guitar so got this. It’s absolutely excellent-assembles and disassembles in 2 mins, is very light, cleverly designed to minimise its footprint when packed, fits into cabin baggage on the aeroplane, and plays very well. The set up was terrible out of the box (very high action) but I got it set up and changed the strings at a guitar shop and it was absolutely fine after. Great for practising in the hotel room, sounded ok with provided headphones, but a lot better with a small speaker using the aux in connection, by itself and through a headphone amp for effects. Very pleased with the purchase, but I think a set up and a string change is needed. EDIT Even better with the Lekato 5W mini guitar amp !!

Disappointing support level
Bought Donner Hush Guitar. It arrived but was missing two screws that hold the support arms in place. Amazons support directs to manufacturer, Donner. They refuse to help saying I had not bought the guitar from them. The Amazon advert has a link to the manufacturers website so to me, it looked like Donner was selling through Amazon. Anyway, Donner refused to send me the two screws. My only redress would be to send the guitar back to Amazon. For two 3mm screws ? Really ? Good guitar otherwise. Support level is shocking.

Fantastic Piece of Kit
Started back guitaring after a long hiatus and wanted something I could use to build up finger strength etc. This thing is absolutely fantastic. Really good quality and you get a lot for your money. You can throw this thing about and not worry about it - it's indestructible. I use it to practice finger exercises and finger independence exercises whenever and wherever, and it really is good for that. The action is slightly high, and string on the heavy side, but hey, you can change the strings and get a file out if that really bothers you. But I like that on a practice guitar, as both of those things are what you need for exercises. Builds up strength quicker. I've ended up using this far more than my guitars, as it's so handy to pick up and set on your lap. The case you get with it is excellent, as is the tuner - the earphones are ok. The sound when plugged into earphones is pretty good, but I've used the thing more without it being plugged into - just sitting at my desk going through scales etc. If i were to feed anything back to Donner, it would be to upgrade the design and add an in-built metronome/tuner. Man, now that would be brilliant.

Per quello che costa e per l'ingombro è perfetta. Necessita di un buon set up, l'action è troppo alta. L'ho dovuta restituire perché la volevo portare in viaggio e non entra in valigia. Potrebbe entrare in una valigia veramente grande però.

I am very pleased with the Donner HUSH Guitar for what it is and the specific application I purchased it for: to have a very portable travel guitar, with a full-scale neck, available for an upcoming trip. To keep your chops up and your repertoire stage-ready, over an extended trip, it's nice to have a travel guitar that breaks down this small — only 33 inches X 6 inches in it's case. There are several options for travel guitars: including guitars where the neck folds, or very small guitaralele's which have shorter necks and usually tune to a different scale. I've owned several other travel guitars. However, I want to play in the same key and have my fingers learning and practicing the same placement and stretches as my full-size guitars. I don't want a little tiny 1/2 or 3/4 size guitar that sounds like a child's first guitar. The Donner HUSH fits the bill perfectly. The fact that it is a silent guitar with a built-in headphone amp is a plus also. Traveling in a car I can play this short headless guitar and not bother anyone else in the car, even though I can hear it in headphones better than if I was trying to practice with a traditional acoustic guitar. With the braces removed and inside it's case, the guitar is so small I can't imagine not being able to carry it on a plane, which is the main reason I purchased it. Given the relatively low price, the quality and playability seem good to me. The sound in headphones isn't as refined as the Yahmaha silent guitar, but it doesn't cost as much and it breaks down to a smaller size. I've owned 2 Yamaha silent guitars, both the nylon string and the steel string. This time I chose this over the Yamaha, because it's smaller, more affordable, and all I am buying it for is a travel/practice guitar — period. It is a piezo-based acoustic sounding instrument, not like an electric guitar powered by magnetic pick-ups. With processing from pedals, an IR loader, compression, saturation, and reverb, I'm sure the sound could be brought up to a very respectable acoustic-guitar-like quality; but I probably won't ever perform in front of people with this guitar. It's about practicing silently and traveling. Although, if an opportunity demands it, the guitar will plug into any Bluetooth speaker with an 1/8th inch input, or a regular guitar amp's 1/4 inch input, so in a pinch, you could gig with it. Having said all that, now, after owning the guitar and playing it for a few weeks, there are a few improvements that I could suggest to the manufacturer — simple, inexpensive improvements that could raise the guitar's performance and value to a much higher level. I will probably work on that wish list and submit it directly to Donner, but again, I'm happy with the guitar.

A great deal from Donner. A really nice instrument, nice accessories, looks great, well finished and pretty easy to play. Easy to walk around with and just play. Playing with fingers won't disturb anyone in the same room. Sounds pretty nice acoustically although of course low volume. Only thing I had to do was adjust the trust rod alot as it was very loose and had massive amount of bow. Perfect instrument for any beginner or anyone needing to play quieter or have something to take anywhere with them.
