Maddocks 14-CH-36 Compatible Faber EFF72 Carbon Charcoal Filter

I was searching for a Charcoal Filled AEG Cooker Hood replacement filter.My current filter had been in place for 11 years and I only just realised I should have been r5eplacing it every 3 to 4 months.I came across this model which was listed as suitable for a Faber EFF72 but it looked identical to the one fitted to my AEG Cooker Hood, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'd seen the AEG part number as AEG DI9611-M and DI9993-M but was not certain of that, because as I said , this particular filter was listed as only suitable for the Faber EFF72.Good news it fitted perfectly and easily into my AEG Cooker Hood and such good value for money. It eels like good quality too because you can feel the Charcoal pieces within each rectangular Pocket.I'll keep a note of this excellent supplier but I will certainly not be replacing it every 3 top 4 months... more like every year.

Although the above model wasn't explicitly stated in the product info, it looked about right and for just over £10, I thought it was worth a punt given the original was around £80 and the nearest aftermarket I could find was £23.The filter came within 24 hrs on Prime. The item came in a cardboard carton and was well protected with a shrink-wrapped film to preserve the integrity of the filter.The filter seemed to be of good quality and wasa decent weight reflecting the amount of charcoal in there.The filter fitted in to the cooker hood easily and the clicked into place as well as the original filter. Overall, I am happy with the filter and will immediately order another as a spare. It is good replacement at a more than reasonable price.

Rangemaster Charging £108 for the same item - ok this one is not Rangmaster but it does the same job even if you have t replace a little more often still excellent value for money considering the Ranngmasters one cost at £108. I contacted Rangemaster Spares and they said we run the spares on behalf of Rangmaster and pricing is in line with Rangemasters policy. I said again why £108 and no answer - Soo bought a couple of these one in my Rangemaster 90cm Cook Hood and working as it should. Have to recommend this item. Dont normally do many words in a review on Amazon!!

Great product, @9.99 compared to over £100 for the Rangemaster one you really have to ask yourself why?

This is a repeat order.Is as good as original at only a fraction of the cost.IWill continue to buy.

Fits perfectly and great item

Better value for money at this price point, providing they last just as long. Very easy to fit given the filter unit is exactly the same shape. The extractor reset easily with the new filter fitted.

I had this filter installed for 2 months, with very little use of the extractor fan the black material rotted and the charcoal pellets fell out. Other customers have left reviews with the same issue.The original filter from AEG lasted 6 years.I've ordered another to see if it was just a bad batch, but I will be back to right another review.
