RhemeOne Touch Universal Car Mount Holder

This is an amazing piece of kit. I am SO glad I bought it. I studied the reviews on this product before I made my purchase and am happy to say that I am not disappointed at all. It is very well designed and constructed and does an excellent job for it's intended purposes. Personally, I bought this product so that I could video car journeys to my favourite places and watch them later. It's a beautiful piece of kit and very sturdy - even when I visit Scotland and drive along bumpy roads on the rugged coastline. It allows for precise adjustment and stays where you leave it - so you can alter the view as and how you wish - whether it be straight ahead - left or right. I am SO glad I bought this product and glad that I chose this one over others that I studied. This one appears to be the best. So, if you are considering buying a mobile phone mount for your car windscreen - this is what you should be looking at. Well worth the extra pennies for a quality product. Highly recommended.

I bought 2 of these in July ready for a long holiday in France in August. Just before we left I tried fitting them to the windscreen and they just fell off after a few minutes. I tried again de-greasing the glass and the plastic suction disc first; they still fell off. I had bought a similar looking design some years earlier but the plastic suction disc was made of a completely different material and worked extremely well. However the pair I received from this vender just don't work, are not fit for purpose and I suspect were a reject batch with a bad suction disc. DON'T BUY THESE.

Only 2 reviews when I wrote this but both 5 star... so I took a chance for the money it was priced at. I wasn't sure how good this would be, as I'd previously bought a similar for £3.99 and it broke after a matter of weeks. This on the other hand is rock solid, easily adjustable and doesn't wobble like my last one on the wind screen. It seems to have strong fixing points, with metal screws, that should last and good suction action for the screen (!...). The only possible concern is the sprung opening mechanism which auto opens the jaws on a button press. But for the price, I can't complain.The little feet on the carrier can fold down which is great for larger 5 inch screens that are used on their side.UPDATE: Bought a 2nd one in Apr at £6.99. 1st one in Jan was £4.99. Still happy with it. However I see it's now £8.99. Nearly doubled in price in a few months..... Bit of a percentage hike there.....

Does not hold the phone firmly between the clamps...keeps falling off if the holder shakes a lot.

Just to be clear this whole product is cheep and plasticy, but my biggest gripe with it is that even at £6.99 it is well over priced!!! This item should be no more than £4, disregarding that it actually works quite well.The window mount is fairly solid, it holds firm on the glass and doesn't vibrate or fall off, ever. The shape of it allows me to position my smart phone exactily where I want it and there is a bit of room for adjustments. You can easily adjust it to align your gadget horizontally or vertically, and the arm is long enough to hold my phone close enough to me so that I can reach the screen. I usually position it to the right of my dashboard.The phone holder is actually quite flimsy but it grips my phone well and I can imagine it would fit most smart phones universally. The button that releases the clamping mechanism is cheap and feels like it will break, in fact it did on my last one (this is my third!). The arms on the clamping mechanism slowly open to allow you to insert your device, on my new one they get stuck a little which is a bit annoying, i think i'm going to oil it a bit. When it doesn't get stuck it is quite easy to pull my phone out of my pocket and put it on the mount with one hand, whilst driving so I can answer phone calls when on the road.All in all this is a reasonable device, I would give it 4 stars if the price wasn't so unreasonable for a cheap piece of plastic. I should say this is my third one now, the first one broke because my friend pulled it off the window without releasing the sucker and the sucker came off!!! the second one broke the other day when I was opening the clamp the catch inside broke and the clamp is no longer able to stay closed! Hopefully this one will last a bit longer!If you don't mind something cheap and plasticy that costs £7 then this is the device for you!!!

When looking to change my satnav facility from an ageing specialist device (with correspondingly out-of-date maps) to an app on my Samsung Galaxy smartphone, I needed to find a cradle holder that would reliably hold the phone on my car windscreen. After reading the various customer reviews on Amazon it was clear that I needed to avoid certain products and, after some deliberation, I opted for the Rheme Cradle Holder. Immediately, I was pleased to note its chunky, robust construction and when I put it into practice I was delighted with (a) how well the suction pad adhered to the windscreen and (b) how firmly yet gently it held my phone between its adjustable arms. Deploying this system proved to be simpler/quicker than it was for my old satnav device and after using it for two long journeys I feel confident in saying that it looks to have been a very good choice. It really does the job and for a very attractive price. Highly recommended !
