Super Stubble

I have had a Babyliss stubble trimmer for nearly 5 years, but when it gave up the ghost, I thought I would try a different brand and bought a Wahl based on the Amazon reviews. It was useless and I returned it and bought Babyliss again. This shaver cuts from 0.4mm to 5mm. The angle of the head gives as even a shave as you will get from any stubble trimmer. The charge time is quick and you really do get a good hour out of a single charge which means you can go away for a week and not worry. The travel lock function is useful. I have had an electric toothbrush loose all its charge when it switched on in my bag and it is really annoying. Wish you could charge it without needing the cradle (just the transformer) but I guess the waterproof function requires the cradle. I have not really tested this in the shower as it is a rubbish way to shave. This is expensive, but it has been worthwhile if I get another 5 years out of it.

I used the previous model to this one for over 4 years. Unfortunately i dropped it on the clipper part smashing it to pieces leaving me with no choice but to buy this newer model. This newer model is just as fantastic as the older one. The floating head gives an accurate cut. You do have to go over a couple of times which is obvious as facial hair comes out in different directions. The battery life is now brilliant. You can even see how much charge is left which the older one missed out on. I also love the new posh look and feel. It feels like a very good quality item in your hand. There is also a rubber back should you chose to wet shave too. All in all, very pleased with the purchase!!

Despite the fact that i'm 35 I'm still very much prepubescent on the beard front. Why do I bother I hear you cry? Well, like most "follicly challenged" men who are "crop haired" I like to keep a little facial hair to avoid looking like an egg. I'm never going to achieve that George Michael/Desperate Dan look as I'm just not 'man enough' but thats not the machines fault. I'm pleased with it but I suspect if you are Oscar Isaac you'd be absolutely thrilled with it. Depends very much on what sort of facial hair you have I guess. It is pricey but it is the best stubble trimmer I have ever had and I think I had a three year guarantee with mine. It certainly looks good - the LED screen is a welcome feature.

I purchased this trimmer to replace my i-stubble, which although still serviceable, is a pain to clean as it can't be rinsed or sprayed with antibacterial cleaner. I have too firstly say that I can't understand the many negative reviews. This is a beard /stubble trimmer, you still require some sort of razor if you want a shaped beard or a clean neckline. I bought my example from Amazon wharehouse deals for £35:04p which was a great price as the item was unused ,it just had crushed packaging. I've been using the super stubble on a near daily basis since 2nd December 2015, and it is for me near perfect for my needs. I use the 1.6mm setting for my beard and a phillips razor for my neck and to keep the edges neat and tidy. The only area where the BaByliss is lacking is the edge trimmer which is accessed by folding the guard back on itself ( see photo's ) it is too wide to get into intricate areas such as under the nose , but this wiil be the case with any beard trimmer. One of the small battery ear and nose trimmers would be ideal if you don't own another shaver. Philips NT3160/10 Nose Hair, Ear Hair and Eyebrow Trimmer Series 3000 The display is very handy, showing lenght selected and remaining charge in minutes of use, again a good choice by BaByliss. I get around 3 weeks use between charges which are carried out by connecting the supplied lead to the rear of the stand . The trimmer is a joy to use, very comfortable,and the floaring head works as designed. It takes me around 2 minutes to whip round my full beard and a quick rinse under the hot tap leaves it ready for next time. It's a breeze to keep clean and looks good in any bathroom.Highly recommended. --

Not wet shaved since I bought this. Stubble length is good & easy to use, just take your time. Battery is excellent, I've only charged it once since I bought it (well before Xmas) & it's still on 30mins remaning.... probably use it once or twice a week to get stubble back to 3 day growth. It locks v easily which is great when travelling Glad I spent the extra getting the top one.....no idea if the cheaper ones are just as good but hopefully I'll never need to find out!

I recently purchased another 'stubble' trimmer however, it was terrible. The device came with clip-on parts which, no matter how hard you tried would keep an all around even trim. Thanks to Amazon's return policy I returned the trimmer and exchanged for this, the BaByliss for Men Super Stubble. It's all in one design and digital adjustment the trimmer is perfect to keep things even all around the face thanks to the 'floating' guard. The trimmer says it gives you 60 minutes of use on a full charge. To keep things going you have to charge the battery for 3 hours for the first charge and then 90 minutes should give you a full charge after this. The trimmer is easy to clean thanks to it being waterproof rinse it under the tap. The device can be used in the shower according to the manual however, for best results it advises to use when your beard is clean and dry. I have had no issues in using the trimmer including over the top lip and it too around 6 minutes for a full even trim. Would I have any qualms in recommending this product? definitely not.

This review is for the people that search for a product that could give them even Stubble at lowest mm possible. I am sorry to disappoint you, but a trimmer that delivers an Even trimm at a specific mm Does Not Exist. Period. This trimmer can go down to 0.4mm setting. And if you are thinking about buying this trimmer Only because you want to keep a stubble at 0.4 mm, you will be disappointed. There are few reasons for that. -The first one is that 0.4mm setting does not give the "shadow" result, and the time it requires to cut your beard to be even all around you face at 0.4mm is just too much/borders with impossible (0.4 mm is way to short for the hair to stay in upward position just so that it can be cut at that length/ no comb can do that) - Second, 0.4mm is not even the closest cut that you can get with this trimmer. Once you remove the comb, you automatically get a closer cut below 0.4mm. And after going a couple of times all over your beard, you will get a Good results. But if you want the closest cut for your beard, then you really don't need this trimmer, as there are many other trimmers on the market will deliver the same cut under 0.4mm, and are cheaper to buy (~ 50% less...) - The third reason is that nothing can compare with the even cut of shaving with a razor, and the resulting Perfectly Even stubble on your face. No matter how long you use this trimmer, or any other, you will not get the even beard look. I dare you to try it. Shave with a razor one week, and look at the stubble. Then let it grow and trimm it to stubble length with a trimmer, and you will immediately notice how much different it is. So if you want that kind of stubble that you get after shaving... sorry, not gonna happend. All in all, this is a good trimmer, that is way overpriced.

This shaver is superb. I had the older version for years and hope this will be the same. It has new design features that are great, the front display is better looking and not as obvious as the older model. Also by showing you how many minutes of use you have left until the next charge is very useful when taking it for stays away. It now has much better splash proof, plus the new charging stand it comes with looks the part. A happy customer!!
