disappointed that the product was not boxed as per the advert - the box would have offered more protection whilst in transit as the item is quite flimsy - without unsealing it from the sellophane wrapper it was impossible to test it to ensure it was working ok before giving to the recipient for whom this gift was intended - so fingers x that it actually worked ok - I have awarded 4 stars as I have the identical item and it is a handy bit of kit - you need a flat surface to trap the insect (eg a window pane or worktop surface) then once it is trapped you press the button and the electrification takes place - sometimes the insect is just stunned and a 2nd zap is necessary - had the item been in the packaging as advertised I would have awarded 5 stars

Arrived on time.Excellent item, does exactly what its supposed too.

The product doesn't work. Most flies are absolutely fine when you hit them. Minus one unlucky one; I thought it was dead and stuck in the metal mesh. Sadly it was alive with melted wings wiggling to death. I felt awful, the creature was buzzing in my face. It didn't deserve to suffer like that. It was gross I had to use a stick to poke it out and beat it to death with my shoe outside. The product also looks have blue electric engery on one part of it??? I wouldn't touch that to find out! But possibly why it doesn't work.I wouldn't ever recommend!Now I put the cat in with the bugs instead! He's much more efficient!

Zaps then real good

I chose this particular model as recommended by friends that it was a good fly-catcher. I'm not disappointed yet - BUT am still trying to catch a fly ! It is not the fault of the Zapper but probably more my aim or as more likely the fly gets away far too quickly, but I will persevere and I've only had it a few days. It arrived promptly and well packed and as described. The only thing is I think one should have several Zappers as they always seem to be in the wrong room when a fly appears !

It's actually quite hard to hit a flying insect with this if there are objects nearby, such as curtains, lampshade, or if the insects stubbornly stay in the corners of windows etc. This is partly to do with the large size of the item, meaning it's hard to get in tight spaces. You may be better off with a regular flexible fly-swatter.If you do hit one, it does deliver a killing blow, with an audible snap and sometimes a flash of blue light.

Bought this for when we are having eating/drinking in the garden.Easy and light to use. The only thing that it doesn't provide is the speed you need to catch the blighters!

Very good but you have to hold it on the bug for a little while before it completely kills it.. Learnt that when a fly came back to life after I just hit it on the floor.
