Damson Vulcan Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker with Solid Bass in all Black

Firstly this speaker arrived very promptly and the packaging was of a nice quality and sleek which is great if giving as a gift. Within hours of receiving it I received an email from Damson (the Amazon order was dispatched from them) saying they hoped everything is as expected and to contact immediately if not. The speaker itself has a good solid feel to it with metal grills and firm controls. Operation is simple and straight forward. I read one review that said the introduction voice that says "Hello and Goodbye" was a bit loud. It's not a whisper, but it's also not a nasal North American accent that you get on some products, so not a problem.The overall sound is great with really nice separation in the acoustics and mid range, but where it really stands out is when the volume is turned up and the bass kicks in.This is where it performs brilliantly and retains great sound quality across a range of music genre. All of this is indoors as I have yet to try it outside. Battery life is good and it looks really nice when sat on the coffee table etc. Finally, I like the fact that this is a small and innovative company and you get the feeling that they really care about their product and the customer, so all in all I'm a very happy one. Based on the Vulcan I'm now considering buying one of the Damson Cisor speakers.

Arrived early , powered the speaker up turned on Bluetooth then oh my god such a sound from such a small speaker the bass is chest thumping and I'm well happy this is definitely kicking out of its league ...well worth the money

I think the Damson Vulcan is amazing!, from design, how it fells, the price most of all the sound hits hard and i tested it the whole day I tried different kinds of songs from pop, RnB, Grimm etc and it delivers, I even went out for couple of hours and it was great battery life is sweet. Big up Damson!

After reading many reviews on this and other Bluetooth portable speakers and swayed by the 5 star reviews it was receiving I decided to invest. On the plus side no one can be disappointed about the build quality as it is very good and the speaker looks sleek and would sit just fine in any lounge with the added benefit of it being completely portable with an excellent battery life. My issue is the sound quality, yes it has 4 drivers, 2 front facing and 1 at each end to provide a room filling sound, however It was the quality of that sound which I wasn't impressed with. I have a Psyc Monic Bluetooth speaker (also purchased from Amazon), once again purchased after reading the excellent reviews and the Monic out performs the Vulcan with a richer, punchier and simply more involving sound that sounded like real music. To get a second opinion I asked my wife to compare them (without myself saying anything) and she immediately preferred the Monic which currently costs £37.00 compared to the Vulcan's current retail price of £69.95. My intention was to use the Monic in my home office and the Vulcan for a better quality sound in the lounge, however sadly this won't be the case as I have returned the speaker and my search goes on for sub £100.00 speaker with the emphasis on pure sound quality ( not interested if it is splash or waterproof).

The product overall is very good, sound too.Only issue is the voice notifications, especially when you forgot to turn down the volume or forgot to turn it off. Very unpleasant.Wish i could also control the bass.

For its size it’s great. You can connect it to your tv & it’s like a sound bar. My only complaint is that it could do with a little more treble. Other than that I’m really happy with it.

Sound quality isn't great, bluetooth reception issues make it not good value for money.

Bought as an 18th Birthday present. The sound is fantastic but only given 4 stars as the male voice saying 'Hello' very loudly when you switch it on is very annoying as you can't turn it down or off!
