Worth the money. Ideal for making bags or baskets, personally found it a big tough to work with avoid making cloths such as scarfs or blankets it a bit rough and not very soft like other wools

I am a beginner knitter and was looking for something a little chunkier without breaking the bank. I find the wool a nice size, doesn't seem itchy at all and personally I adore the coloour (tbh the whole selection was great). Hasn't been washed yet as I'm still working on a piece but can't imagine there being an issue with a cold washing machine cycle. It recommends 8mm needle on the packaging, I am using 9mm for ease and it works great.

Very nice yarn at a great price. I have used the yarn to crochet a man's winter scarf, and really pleased with it.

This yarn is far from soft, I would not recommend for clothing of any kind as the feel is very scratchy.I initially bought it for a baby cardigan knitting pattern however when it arrived I soon changed my mind, I am now using it for a toy.The colours are bright and beautiful , so if you want to make a hard wearing toy, that wouldn’t be very cuddle some ,then this is the yarn you could use if you wished.I personally wouldn’t buy it again and I should have really sent it back( I was being lazy.)

I use the Softee Chunky yarn to make hats for the homeless, and it's a very soft yarn. Both of these hats were made with the "Shadow" color ordered at different times. You can see how different they are, and I suspect that one of my orders was mixed up with a similar color "Deep Waters". I don't keep the wrappers, so who knows! In any case, both will be going to a good home.

It's decent yarn. I started to use it making a poncho, but the yarn wasn't smooth enough on my hook. I"m frogging the poncho and will use this yarn for some amigurumi projects. Nothing wrong with the yarn, I just need to use it on the appropriate crochet makes.

I love the colours of the Shadow yarn. I crocheted a hat and am making a neck warmer and I am finding this yarn to be stiffer and less soft than others in the super chunky category. It is not as soft and squishy. I am using a 10mm crochet hook and it works really well as it holds its shape while working with it. For a hat, the stiffness is okay but I am reconsidering the cowl/neckwarmer.

Laine très douce et agréable à crocheter.Seul bémol, et pas des moindre tout de même, les pelotes ne sont pas toutes complètement identiques en longueur de couleurs différentes, ce qui pose problème pour un crochetage en losange. D'autre part, certaines sont à dérouler à partir de l'extérieur et d'autres à partir de l'intérieur de la pelote pour avoir le même ordre de couleur.
