Teen Titans: The Judas Contract [Blu-ray] [2017] [2016]

A great addition of the DCU animated movies. This stays true to the original story but is modernized and fits perfectly in sequence with the other movies. Modern twist of social media, and use of phone are great. Unlike the last movie none of the Justice League are in this movie giving the Titans more time to shine. One thing I like about this movie is the character say exactly what I was thinking at times. Not being a huge Damian fan, (though I do think the Titans are a perfect fi for him and he is growing on me here), I love Slade informing the others he "slapped him around for being mouthy, y9ou know you have all though about it at sometime". In the five year earlier prologue kid Flash informing us that helping Starfire "has nothing to do with her being hot".The action, character interaction , and development are great. I already mentioned Damian (Robin), having grown on me a bit. Nightwing is back as co-leader/consultant, Starfire is still the leader her compassion and naivety/teasing makes her perfect for the spot, even with Nightwing around. This movie focuses more on Beast Boy, and Blue Beatle in terms of development. The action is brutal and so are the betrayals. If you read the original you will know one of them coming, but the reaction of the characters really make it heart wrenching. This is an all round great movie. It definitely earn the 12 age rating so be carful about showing it to youngsters, otherwise enjoy.

I am getting old and have mainly been a marvel guy since about 12 years old but many of DC animated area good viewing. I am not really a credible critic because i am hooked. on all of them ; Batman to Captain America, Avengers to JSA.

This is a great animated film. The voice artists do a wonderful job of bringing their characters to life.

It might not be 100% comic accurate but I loved this movie. One I will definitely go back to. If you're a fan of the Teen Titans then this is a must buy.

I got it just because it was a DC animated film didn't know much about but quite enjoyed it really recommend

This is another in the line of decent straight to disc animation films that Warner Bros/DC have been putting out recently. I enjoyed it a fair amount and felt that it did a pretty good job of adapting a legendary Teen Titans story into the modern animated universe they have been building.Overall the animation and voice acting are good, the charactors are as you would want them to be and they play well off of each other.If you like Teen Titans, or even just like the DC animated movies it is definately worth a watch

Revised and modified to fit in with the current DC universe, the only connection with the original Wolfman & Perez storyline is Terra working with Deathstroke to bring down the Titans, but that's okay as it works fine.It opens several years earlier with a prologue when the original lineup meet Starfire for the first time. 'Now' Starfire is the leader of the new young team and Dick Grayson (her long-time boyfriend and now Nightwing) is back to see how things are going which is the group harrassing Brother Blood's organisation and Brother Blood is paying Deathstroke to take down the Titans.It's an entertaining enough fun and action piece with plenty to hold the interest but in all honesty it's nothing brilliant. Three stars is maybe a bit harsh so call this rating three and a half. Undemanding fun with enough to justify the 12 rating.

Disk is foreign and will not play in US DVD players. The digital download expired in 2020, and I can’t even download that version to play the movie. Money wasted.But the company was very nice to work with and offered me a partial refund with ideas on how to play the disk. I haven’t been able to get it to play though.

カートゥーンのＴＶシリーズの続きではありません。でもナイトウィングとスターファイアについては、見る人によってはそのように受け取れるような工夫があります。二人が手をつないで飛んだり、ダンスしたり、特に二人の関係はＴＶシリーズそのもの、一緒に戦う者としてゆるぎない信頼関係にあります。ＴＶシリーズのロビンはナイトウィングとなり、ソロ活動のためチームを離れ、スターファイアがチームのリーダーを引き継いでいますが、ＤＣの一連のシリーズの中で、ナイトウィングが忙しくて二人はなかなか会えない、ということが度々描かれています。そのことについて、本作でナイトウィングは一つの答えを持って、チームに戻ってきます。メインのストーリーはティーン・タイタンズで最も有名な話、テラの物語をアレンジしており、結末が分かっていても最後は悲しくなります。元々の原作が仲間の裏切りとナイトウィングの誕生というエピソード重視のものなので、派手なアクションシーンを期待する人には物足りないかもしれませんが、個人的にはナイトウィングとスターファイアの幸せな未来を予感させるラストに大満足です。残念ながら日本語未対応なので、英語の字幕を追いながらになりますが、セリフも長くないので十分楽しめました。

My dvd player would not play this dvd. It was not made in United States. No matter what dvd player I put it in, it still would not play. Yes its brand new and in good condition but what is the point if you can't play it.
