Ceramic Safety Blade Cutter - Green

If you buy a lot of things from Amazon then this is a must have to open all of those packages. Much safer to use than a stanley knife and easy to control. I expect the blade to last a while too. I spent years using my house keys to open packages, I was waiting for the day where they would no longer unlock the front door. It turned out that in the end the wife changed the locks anyway as I spent too much money ordering things on Amazon!

Works well but sore cause yoh have to hold button in place while cutting plus only one blade

Good product with a very sharp blade. You have to hold the lever down to extend/use the blade as it retracts as soon as you let go, which is an excellent safety feature. I use this for cutting up cardboard boxes both at home and at work. Brilliant value for money

Does what it's ment to. I use this in my workplace where it would not be good it a normal steel one if it was found lying somewhere. Helps that it is not much bigger than a pen

A good knife, but it’s a nuisance having to hold the sliding button the whole time, as the blade retracts the moment you let go. There is a way to work around it, of course, but the item really should be sold with a label stating SELF‑RETRACTABLE.

I purchased this knife to help with art projects. Unfortunately, whilst the blade is a safety blade and so retracts. There is no way to keep the blade in place, so you can’t let go of the button. Not helpful at all. Comfortable to hold and not sharp. Disappointed.

This is a blade which auto-retracts. It is a safety knife. Very useful for working with cardboard and tape, etc. Saves an extra 1-2 seconds with every use, compared to using a normal utility knife, and also prevents accidental cutting, since I sometimes leave my other utility knife on the desk without closing it. Cuts fairly well. Corrugated cardboard boxes are no problem. Blades are insanely expensive compared to the actual knife, if they were cheaper I would have given this 5 stars. - But if the tool saves you time and keeps your hands safe then £5 for 3 blades once in a while is not a big issue. It does not cut as well as a metal blade, but it cuts well enough. The blunt tip also reduces risk of accidental stabbing. Super slim and lightweight which is what I wanted. I wear it on a belt often, with a small belt pouch intended for something else. It can go in the pocket, but be aware that it's easy for the blade to be pushed out so it's not really that safe in a pocket.

When I read that these were 10x sharper than a steel bladed utility I thought I’ve got to get one, how wrong I was, it maybe sharper but the fact you have to hold the spring loaded blade out unlike a traditional Stanley knife creates its own problems, I tried to cut underlay with it but the blade isn’t long enough (the spare blades are tiny in comparison to standard metal blades ) to get a proper cut through the thickness of the underlay, only time will tell if the blades stay sharper for longer, which they probably will because I will go back to using a standard utility knife from now on lol
