Review: good quality laquer - Good quality laquer, good size will go a long way, dries quite quickly, normally put two coats on for longer protection, can be used for a number of things, we have used to protect switches, sockets and handles, very good coverage on brass, leaves a lovely shine finish and lasts a long time before needing to reapply, would recommend rustins is a very good make Review: It works! But is better on smaller pieces of brass. - I tried this on several items. Door knobs indoors seem to be successful as do all indoor fittings. I tried it on the washbasin drain where the plug goes in and this didn’t work well as it tarnished quickly, even with several coats applied before the basin was used. out side on the letter plate box plate, I found the area too large to cover without brush marks showing. Bearing in mind that I applied three coats to each piece I treated, it was difficult to coverall the surface before the first part dried! Overall, I think the product is good. I was expecting too much , but I am a perfectionist! ## Features - Causes serious eye irritation. - Causes skin irritation. - Harmful if inhaled. - Highly flammable liquid and vapour. - May cause damage to organs. - May cause drowsiness or dizziness. - Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. - Suspected of causing cancer (if swallowed). - Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. - Clear lacquer - Does not yellow or craze on ageing ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004ZK4F3O | | Best Sellers Rank | 8,655 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 27 in Varnish | | Brand | RUSTINS | | Compatible Material | Metal | | Coverage | 15 sq metres per 1litre | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 671 Reviews | | Finish | metal lacquer | | Finish type | metal lacquer | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05015332550012 | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Type Name | Rustins TRAL125 125ml Metal Laquer | | Item Weight | 0.2 Pounds | | Item weight | 0.2 Pounds | | Liquid Volume | 125 Millilitres | | Liquid volume | 125 Millilitres | | Manufacturer | Rustins | | Material | metal | | Model Number | TRAL125 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | TRAL125 | | Recommended Uses For Product | protecting and beautifying metal surfaces | | Recommended uses for product | protecting and beautifying metal surfaces | | UPC | 042000739009 | | Unit Count | 125.0 millilitre | ## Product Details - **Brand:** RUSTINS - **Finish type:** metal lacquer - **Item weight:** 91 g - **Material:** metal - **Recommended uses for product:** protecting and beautifying metal surfaces ## Images ![Metal Laquer, Clear, 125 ml (Pack of 1) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51g9PjiAEuL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good quality laquer *by P***J on 7 March 2025* Good quality laquer, good size will go a long way, dries quite quickly, normally put two coats on for longer protection, can be used for a number of things, we have used to protect switches, sockets and handles, very good coverage on brass, leaves a lovely shine finish and lasts a long time before needing to reapply, would recommend rustins is a very good make ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works! I tried it on the washbasin drain where the plug goes in and this didn’t work well as it tarnished quickly, even with several coats applied before the basin was used. out side on the letter plate box plate, I found the area too large to cover without brush marks showing. I was expecting too much , but I am a perfectionist! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A lifesaver! *by A***R on 18 October 2017* On our little boat, which is all teak and brass interior, this is fab for preserving the very numerous little screws and hinges etc. They are so diffficult to clean and refurb and once done, without this, you can expect to have to do it all again in no time at all. It’s been quite some time now since I employed this to deal with the problem of repeat tarnishing and yay... It works a treat! Tempted to try it on the brass portholes but not sure how it would cope with condensation. Very happy with it on the fiddly bits though! ## Frequently Bought Together - RUSTINS Metal Laquer, Clear, 125 ml (Pack of 1) - Rustins Brass Restorer 125ml - Liberon Steel Wire Wool 0000 Ultra fine - 1 Meter Pack --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/48267789-metal-laquer-clear-125-ml-pack-of-1](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/48267789-metal-laquer-clear-125-ml-pack-of-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
