It meets ACEA A5/B5 X. Is that better or worse or just different? ACEA has three main groups – “A/B” for gasoline and light duty (passenger car, 4WD etc) diesel engines, “C” for light duty three way catalyst (TWC) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) compatible oils, usually low and mid SAPS (Sulphated Ash Phosphorus Sulphur) and "E" for heavy duty diesel engines (so C and E are not relevant here as your engine is petrol). The fact that C is for vehicles that have a diesel particulate filter does not exclude them also being suitable for a petrol engines. I use it for two diesel cars that we own both made in late 2004 and it is fine. The container also says for petrol so I think you will find this is probably just perfect. I used to use it in an S type Jaguar which is 3 litre petrol and also in a VW Passat 1.6 CL diesel, all with good results.. Check the handbook if you want to be more certain. I have looked at my current container and it also says that it meets ACEA A1/B1 in addition to A5/B5, the former is not mentioned on the Mobil website. I don't know what the X is supposed to mean but I think the match is as good as you are going to get. I have always found Mobil oils to be top notch. **Q: can i use this oil in my nissan qashqui 1.5 deisel with dpf** A: No, you need an oil that meets the ACEA C4 spec, like the Millers XF Longlife C4 or Fuchs GT1 Pro C4.
