An amazing tool, everything you need, nothing you don't.
I bought this tool to carry with me when rigging stage lighting at a theatre I worked at, and had owned a few cheap, borderline novelty multitools before, but wanted something serious. I needed good pliers, a good screwdriver, and a sharp knife. This tool is of astounding build quality. Don't get excited by the carbon fibre, it really doesn't add anything, aside from looking cool and adding some nice contrast to the design.First off - the Pliers. These are brilliant pliers, and feel like proper pliers, as opposed to an 'it'll do' pair mounted on a multi tool. They are just as good, if not better than my stand alone, they-do-nothing-else pair of pliers. The wire cutter is very capable, and at the same time the end is precise and can be used for getting a fine grip on the smallest of objects.Secondly, the screwdriver. This cannot be praised enough - I picked up the additional screwdriver kit with the extra bits in, but again this is a very good screwdriver. I found that by having one of the handles outwards at 90 degrees allowed for a great amount of leverage, and both the bits were solid. I was a bit disappointed by the spare bit holder, I lost the spare bit numerous times, and eventually lost it for good. The bit in the end does clip in though, so that wont be going anywhere. The knife is stupidly sharp. I only really use it to strip wire and cut cable ties, but I could probably use it to remove the leg off an elephant as well, its the sharpest knife I've owned. It flicks out easily, and locks into position and can be easily used with one hand. Just beware, the locking mechanism means that (I believe anyway) that it can be a criminal offence to carry this tool without good reason, I always store it in my bag when out and about, with my other tools. I'd rather keep the locking mechanism, it feels much safer to use, and why do I need a quick draw knife in public anyway? Finally, I found the clip very useful. I spend much of my working time jumping up and down ladders, climbing rigging and working at height. I have it clipped to the belt loop on my shorts, or to a cable in the rigging whilst I need my hands, and it really is an essential feature. The number of times I'd be working 30ft up and drop a screwdriver, now there is a pain.My favourite feature overall if the lack of features. Most multitools try to do everything, and do nothing well. I have never needed a tool not on here. I don't need a saw, tooth pick, scissors, spirit level, hammer or one of those tools for getting stones out of horses shoes on a small pocked tool.Overall an excellent product. I kind of want another one, but can't see why I would need two, this will last a lifetime.

A perfect EDC multitool.
Reasons for purchasing:1. The minimal design really suited my needs: - Carrying this on my person everyday I have rarely come across a situation where I needed a tool this did not fulfill. The pliers are excellent in quality and strength and the shape of the handle really helps provide a good grip. The screwdriver bits are easy to access and use and although I was initially concerned with how the spare bit is stored in the handle, it has never slipped loose even slightly. Carabiner clip is a great alternative way to carry and works fine as a bottle opener.2. The blade: - Made from 154CM stainless steel holds it's edge longer. I have sharpened it to razor sharp and is a blade I can depend on. Easy to flip out one-handed and locks solid with no play in any axis. It's also a good length that has dealt with everything I've asked of it.3. Aesthetics: - I'm a sucker for carbon fiber and the DLC coating coupled with it make this a really good looking pocket tool. It serves no other purpose than to look good. The skeletonised design looks great and gives it a slightly organic look, almost like something from Giger's "Aliens". A white version was also featured in the film "Oblivion" (2013). Weight-wise, I have never been so overcome by stuff that I wished my pocket tool was a few grams lighter...HTFU.It's a great looking and performing tool that has all the features I would need on an everyday basis. More complicated jobs and I would bring along my proper tools. Built to a high quality and backed with Leatherman's 25 year guarantee I have peace of mind and trust that my tool will not fail me mid-task. A great blade, easily opened with one hand and needle-nosed pliers to help tighten small nuts/bolts. Highly recommended for those that just need the bare essentials in a minimalist design.

Great Minimal tool. Poor delivery.
This is a vert minimal function tool, as I was aware. It's quality is outstanding with the exception of a manufacturer defect on the pliers spring. I sent it for a replacement due to this. These things happen. My only point to prospective buyers is do you really need this level of minimalism. I do. I have other more capable leathermans that cost a lot less. You may be happy to compromise and carry a little more bulk. It's not particularly light eather, given its limited use. Pliers knife and screwdriver are the tools. It has a bottle opener also.Beware the next day delivery. Mine took 3 days. Amazon's response was pitiful, the refunded the £7.99 delivery but that hardly covers the wasted time at home. Great tool, below standard delivery from Amazon.

Superb bit of kit they've done it again !
Hi Guys an Gals,If your looking for the light weight alternative to the leather tool well this is it same spec as the bigger tools, quality the same just much lighter to carry and use, essential for anyone who spends time outdoors camping, walking, climbing etc.. I would not take any other knife/tool the screwdriver bits are really useful addition and in use a pleasure to work with mine is used eveyday or almost !Price may put folk off but as the tool has the same 25 year warrenty as all the other leatherman's you have to think long term investment, I have had a few types of leatherman tools over the last 25-30 years and every single tool which broke/damaged by myself and was still under 25 years of age, the damaged bit was either replaced at the Whitby knife outlet free of charge all you pay is postage to get it there just one way, in the last case I snapped the small screwdriver on my Juice Pro and one of the side case's was a bit loose where it had been dropped so all they did was send me back a completely brand new tool this is why the warrenty is so worth the price of the tool, just do the math's whatever the total cost of your chosen leatherman cost divide by 25 years and you will see it is actually a bargain given the customer aftercare package which is included.Scouters & Guiders will love it so will Scouts & Guides.
