😊 good near field speakers, used for listening at shorter distances
ok, let’s get this info out the way ; if you thinking of or have just purchase a pair, please keep the box - why ? because a tiny sticker on the box says warranty void if removed! also for a bit more pre-amble info, each speaker has a manufacture sequence number, underneath the rubber foot, these numbers should be relatively close in sequence and finally the power supply date stamp roughly tells you the sub-version of the speaker you are thinking of purchasing or you have just purchased, if it’s 2016 it has very possibly been made before the EQ was tweaked in the white special edition, if the date stamp is 2018, then at this time, both white and the black micro speaker versions have the exactly same EQ, that said if you have an earlier version (2016) the difference is really not that great, would i buy a 2016 version, yes ;-) these micro speakers are like a lot of cross over professional level products very popular and at a keen price point, they are not as robust as a pair of baby genelecs (close match in product type) or have the same level of audio response, but they are good and provide a detailed audio picture. performance wise, the quality of the digital sound processor delivers, as other reviewers have said, yes at some higher levels some white noise hiss and a beeping when the bluetooth connects -- this is normal for this type of dynamic speakers which is designed as a near field system to be used at lower levels where any white noise hiss is hardly noticeable, the much talked about low frequency rumble discussions on the internet i guess maybe an issue if you are mixing music with this frequency running throughout the mix, see internet for diy fix :-) -- oh one thing to watch out for, if using bluetooth and why not, it's good without any noticeable loss of quality, when you re-connect the volume on a mac is pushed to max ! -- make sure you have, either, nothing playing into the speakers on bluetooth re-connect or use something like on a mac the loopback app where you can define audio circuits and preset volume levels I have only just purchased a pair, for a small home studio, so longevity untested, like all speakers keep out of the sun or dry heat and when not using for a long while pack up in a padded case away from heat and dust should increase the lifespan plenty of detail specs and analysis available on the internet -- these speakers are good they are not baby genelecs which retail at around double the price for a pair ... ( didn't manage to buy them from Amazon ... next time :-)

Absolutely sublime
I was skeptical about buying something that are seemingly this tiny, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find that my skepticism was ill founded. These monitors are absolutely amazing, it is hard to imagine that these little things are able to create such a loud and clear sound signature. Lows are present, not muddy but not earth shattering 4/5 Mids are full and warm, very welcoming yet tight 5/5 Highs are amazing, the details are preserved yet there is zero sibilance, just the right amount of sparkle 5/5 I use these for everything, from monitoring, to critical listening to running a processor and playing my guitar thru. These are also sturdy and very well made, I've travelled with them, chucked them in a bag and forgotten about them, they have gather a few scuffs and scratches but the sound remains as good as day one. Setup is easy, basic plug and play, the Bluetooth feature is extremely handy, I've pulled these out in small parties and have had a blast, the versatility is unmatched, the size to performance ratio is insane. The iLouds were an excellent find, they have eliminated the need to any keep any other pair of speakers I've had in my life, I've gotten rid of every bluetooth speaker I've had, these are the once source of truth for me.

Stunning little speakers
After lots of research, I couldn't get away from these little beasties. I'm a little bit out of the norm, in that I live in a motorhome & my hobbies are music production & DJ-ing. Due to this, I needed small footprint speakers, with reference quality audio for my production but also a decent kick for my DJ-ing. On low volume, these drop low with audible sub frequencies, which is remarkable for a 3" driver. Sadly at DJ volumes, they do clip, so I had to purchase a sub. With these combined, I have an awesome set up. Everything, everyone says that's good about these micro monitors is true. The detail & clarity is spectacular. They are crystal clear & give good separation, with a wide soundstage. They are an audiophiles dream. The sound they produce, belies their tiny frame, it truly does. I'm using very good RCA interconnect cables from source to the sub & to the speakers but even with the cheapo one supplied, they did sound good. What I'm not over keen on is their looks or the brand name. iLoud sounds tacky & they do look cheap but I'm growing to like their quirky appearance. At the end of the day, I bougthem to listen to, not look at. I was a touch sceptical with all the reviews saying how amazing they are as if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. But not in this case. They truly are amazing & I'm thrilled that I bought them.

Best active Bluetooth stereo 2.0 speakers under £180 BUT awful buzzing noise via 3.5mm cable
UPDATE after 18 months: for best audio, you MUST USE the 3.5mm audio jack. Watching movies via Bluetooth makes voices unnaturally quiet, and I had to re-watch all Marvel movies and Tenet as a lot of the atmosphere was lost due to a mushy sound scape. My 3rd iLoud Micro Monitor pair started to produce crackling - similar to an LP on standby - noises after 7 months of daily use (around 25% volume and mix use via 3.5mm and Bluetooth) during standby and play, and the manufacturer MK Audio was not helpful: neither responsive via call, chat or email. Amazon provided a partical refund which was a bit disappointing overall. Issue: ~13-14h/day of direct sunlight through double glazed windows damaged the electronics VERDICT: Heavenly sound for such tiny speakers as long as they work 1 of 3 pairs failed after 7 months. My £100 Teufel Concept B20 (twice the size) and Bose Companion 20 (same price) sound like cheap plastic boxes without bass in comparison, and the latter were the best or the price range back in 2011 along with Creative T40 Gen2. Biggest issue: loud hissing/buzzing noise when 3.5mm cable connected and source is either off or not attached, and the speakers make a loud cracking sound (either on the left or right) when you turn off your wire connected source device or cut the electricity. PRODUCT: iLoud Micro Monitor (white) PRICE: £178 (Amazon UK Warehouse Deals on 3rd Mar 2020) ALTERNATIVE Lower end: £100 Creative T40 II (no Bluetooth, weak bass) or Creative T100 (weak bass) Single speaker: £200 Audio Pro T10 (slightly less "clean" but richer bass) Higher end: £510 iLoud MTM (no Bluetooth, needs DAC, suitable for professional music production) USE OF PRODUCT - Only for casually listening to music, podcasts and house parties via Bluetooth (via Android 10 smartphone, iPhone 11 or Windows 10 laptop through YouTube Vanced app or YMusic) when I come home from work and cook dinner or during weekends - Occasional YouTube vlogging audio check in conjunction of my Sony A7 camera + Rode microphone - No music production - Wired audio cable is connect to my Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 (2nd gen) docking station's 3.5mm headphone jack, but due to the buzzing sound, I'm testing a pure Bluetooth use PROs + Mindbogglingly good sound for £178 + Fantastic clean, natural and rich sound with surprisingly strong, punchy bass (but they cannot provide the same rich bass volume as my Audio Pro T10 kitchen speaker with 5.25" bass reflex). Instruments and voices sound very crisp to your ears, not mushy like most active (PC) speakers + Enough power to annoy your neighbours in old and new British houses + Very reliable and stable Bluetooth (but unclear which generation) connection no matter if connected to iPhone, Android or Windows devices + Operational within 1sec and connects to Bluetooth within 2sec from cold start + Wonderfully small and discreet especially white edition on your white IKEA desk with white walls + 2 pin black charging cable can be easily replaced to EU or other wall sockets - very clever design. Black proprietary block charger. + Simple internal electronics should help these speakers last 10+ years + Lots of useful buttons and dials on the back + Can be placed right at the wall + 1.8m proprietary cable for power and audio + 1.0m 3.5mm audio cable has separate left (white) and right (red) connectors at the end, so you can still enjoy correct sound even when switching left and right speakers + Mounts in bottom of the speaker base + Comes as pair (you get 2 speakers unlike larger iLoud MTM) + Modern, clean and minimalist design + Almost no hissing when you do not connect the 3.5mm audio jack cable + Suitable both for listening to music, house parties and (casual) music production + Stand lets to change angle of music direction + Even smaller than Creative T100, T40 II and T20 II + Truly portable, and you can pop them in your laptop bag or small rucksack incl. laptop/macbook + Standardised power supply with 2 pin cable, so you can buy any length you want + High resell value + Natural voice depth and clarity suitable for connecting to anti-burglary smart home automation systems: you can simulare people talking while hunting for mushrooms in Scandinavia over a long week(end) CONs - White edition is now at £279 which is too expensive (3.0/5 stars at that price, 2.5/5 at full RRP of £316), and I hope it goes under £180 again once the Covid-19 pandemic has passed because at such high prices you better buy the larger iLoud MTM for £250 2nd hand with 4x the power and £15 3.5mm Bluetooth transmitter to blow up your house and deafen your weed smoking neighbours that litter your balcony.... - Crazy price swings for a product that will likely see a successor (2nd gen model) in the next 12-24 months - Expensive even in Amazon Germany, France, Spain, Italy and US for no apparenr reason - LED light a bit too bright for my liking - Minimum volume could be lower on Bluetooth connection - Audible hissing/humming when the speakers are switched on and connected with 3.5mm audio jack cable but source device is off. Hissing starts as soon as you connect the 3.5mm cable even if no source is attached. - Loud "pop" noise when you turn the 3.5mm wire connected source off - Only 1 dial for audio volume, not for tone (Teufel Concept B20 allowed you to switch from bass boost, to neutral and high frequency boost) - No information what Bluetooth generation is supports (the speaker was released in Jan 2016), but compatible with A2DP protocol, basically a third of the audio quality of CD, but still sufficient for my needs - Awful name "iLoud" from the 2005 iPod era - Questionable after sales support from manufacturer, so better reach out to Amazon within warranty window

You might not have heard of these but, don't let that put you off.
There are a ton of technical reasons why these speakers are good and none of them matter. What matters is that if you need to hear music in detail without headphones, these are exceptional for their size and cost. I have paired mine with a Yamaha MODX M6 plus other gear and the sound is great in my small office.

Blown away. These solved a lot of my issues.
I am a music producer and have owned Yamaha HS7’s, Focal Alpha 65, KRK Rokit 7’s and Focal 5inch monitors. I was struggling with a rig I could mix on at home and take with me to jobs where laptop speakers are not quite able to provide enough playback detail. These speakers shocked me, the bass is insane, the imagery is unique and as an audiophile I spent days listening to music just to hear it on these speakers because they bring a different experience to how the different frequencies are defined sonically. They fit in my bag, with a laptop and an interface I can take them anywhere and they sound awesome. The bluetooth connectivity makes playback extremely easy, however when recording audio it is more suitable to directly connect using the provided cable. My only negative is the location of the power switch being a bit fiddly. This is by no means a deal breaker. Apart from that…. Just buy them, you will be amazed at how huge the sound is that comes out of them, I kept testing them in disbelief running through bass-heavy music and had nothing but enjoyment. If you have a small studio space and want a minimalistic solution - these are the monitors for you! 10/10

Unbearable hiss, poor packaging
I set these up and for the first 30mins these felt perfect. Lovely size, excellent quality, like my MacBook speakers but just better in every way. Then you notice the hiss and when sitting as close as you do on a desk....it's pretty damn loud. Neither my MacBook nor Sonos speakers have this hiss. So why do these? It's pretty unacceptable given the price and target market. So unfortunately I had to return these and return to using my MacBook speakers, with Sonos picking up Spotify playback. Would have kept and given 5 stars IF there was no hiss. Come on IK, how does stuff like this get through quality control? Also the packaging is very fragile and ripped easily when opening, so if you think you might return them, open them VERY carefully and slowly. Still gets 3 stars a it's otherwise a fantastic set of speakers for the sound. IF you can tolerate the hiss. I couldn't.

Small speakers BIG sound
Don’t be fooled by the size…sound is awesome even in a big room. No need for additional speaker cables etc. as all you need is in the box. Just plug into PC/Mac headphone socket and use.

Great monitor speakers for limited space.
I have limited desk space for recording, and these near field monitors have a very small footprint while maintaining excellent sound quality. The monitors can be angled up or mounted on mic stands for ideal positioning, and room acoustics can be allowed for by adjusting basic Eq controls on the rear of the main speaker. Inputs are limited to RCA or 3.5 mm sockets, so adapters for 6.5 mm outputs from audio interfaces may be required. I was mildly disappointed that a British, rather than an Australian, power cord was supplied, but at least the voltage was correct and it was easy to find an appropriate power cord.

At the price, simply amazing
The only thing I would say is if you are going to use these in a dark room. Get the black ones instead. The LED is very bright, and even if you block it, it will shine through the white plastic.

compact and powerful.
These may look small but are two powerful set of monitors. Sound quality is maybe not that flat but there is value for money. You may go for it.

Increibles
Impresionante sonido para su tamaño. Balanceado con graves que llegan a 45 hz. La construcción es solida excepto el interruptor de encendido, que tiene juego.
