Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 10.95 Inch 2K AF (anti-fingerprint) Laptop - (Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, Chrome OS) - Storm Grey, 82T60018UK

I have had my eye on the original Duet for some time, and was delighted when they announced the Duet 3 (the Duet 5 was a little too large for my needs). The size is a good compromise between portability and productivity. The keyboard takes some getting used to, but it is definitely usable. It isn't as much of a jump from a 13" laptop as I'd thought it would be. It is light enough, though not perhaps as light as I was expecting - though to paraphrase the chap from Jurassic Park, if it's heavy then it feels expensive. The screen is lovely: crisp, clear and bright. Battery life has been good thus far. The apps I've tested are all responsive and fast enough for multi-tasking. And the price...I would have been happy to have paid the original price of £350, especially as the Duet 3 isn't really available widely; but when Amazon reduced it to £249.99 as part of Black Friday it was a no-brainer. Especially as you are getting the keyboard AND stylus included (the stylus works very well, by the way). Great little machine, very happy with my purchase. UPDATE: still happy after a few weeks of usage. The only irritation - and it's a design flaw - is that the stylus is nigh on impossible to pull out from its holder when you are actually using the laptop. You end up yanking the stylus and holder out, or inadvertantly closing the lid. To get around this, I cut a slit along the top of the rubber. Now I can just reach around and it slides in and out easily. And it still holds the pen when it's in my bag. Still, keep this in mind, Lenovo. UPDATE 2: this device is wonderful, but has a major flaw. It drains a huge amount of battery in sleep mode, i.e. when the lid is closed. I typically lose 35/40% battery overnight. That's simply unacceptable. When I told Lenovo about this, their response was that every battery drains during sleep - that's true, but 40% overnight??? Their suggestion was to shut down the device completely, which is also unrealistic and shouldn't be necessary in this day and age. Lenovo need to get their act together and release a fix for that battery drain. I see from internet forums that this is a problem for other Duet 3 owners, and it ruins what is otherwise a great device. UPDATE 3: The latest chrome update (109) appears to have fixed this problem. I have just seen a 5% battery drain overnight in sleep mode, which is far more acceptable than 30-40%. So I'm happy to revert to my 5* review.

Had this for 4-5 months now and I love it. It's not going to compare with more expensive Chromebooks, but if you want a reliable, easy to use Chromebook that fits easily in your bag, then thumbs up. I mainly use it for word-processing, emails and general everyday stuff, which it is fantastic for. The Android part, for gaming and apps, works great and is well worth it for the tablet like experience. The only bad point I can literally put my finger on is the screen does like a fingerprint mark or two. Not too sure it should be advertised as 'anti-fingerprint'?? I am constantly cleaning the screen. All in all. Great device. I paid £250 on Black Friday and it was a steal.

The device turns on and works fine but the detachable keyboard doesn't seem to work? I've had a look in settings and googled it but it still doesn't work, am I missing something?

Bought the device as a Christmas present to my daughter. She had been coveting my iPad Air with a keyboard case and pencil and thought that this would be a great device for playing and school work. Product is excellent. Makes me think that I did not need an iPad Air in reality. It may not be as powerful but she has her office apps, teams for school and she can also play with drawing apps and Minecraft, Roblox works perfectly well on top. This came with the keyboard case and a stylus and these really have made it a great and flexible device. Battery life is incredible and the ecosystem works well as the device is set up under a family account and google allows controls to ensure safety is in place for my daughter. Only potential negative is that the speakers as lower than expected. We also have an fire tablet which appears to be louder and produces a richer tone and that device is a lot cheaper.

Really nice chromeOS tablet/laptop that comes with a UK keyboard :-) The stylus has a battery in it that you need to activate before you can use it. Everything else was easy to get setup especially if you use Chrome on other devices. Certain apps don't install, Word being one, but the likes of Netflix can be accessed via their website. Other streaming apps that do work include iPlayer, Disney+, and Sky Go. Happy with it so far

I swear my five+ year old phone has more power than this new tablet. It might be able to hold a couple of browser tabs open at once but the moment I ask it to open a word processing app or, god forbid, play music at the same time, it breaks down worse than I do during a panic attack. At Best it takes a long time to recover a screen you were looking at less than a minute ago from either cache or memory, sometimes as long as a minute to recover a web page about as complex as a Wikipedia article. At worst it crashes apps when you tab back to them, or they crash while you're looking at something else and you're wondering where it went. Add to that the fact it can't seem to make up its mind if it's more tablet or laptop and it confuses a lot of websites and apps that need to know mobile or desktop, or some bastard abomination of both. Oh, and the stylys has barely worked since day one despite a change of battery.

Moving over to Chromebook from Android was surprisingly irritating. They are different ( obviously) but i was surprised at the subtle little annoying differences. But quickly got to grips with it. I do a lot of ad-hoc consultancy and also travel quite a bit. This slips nicely into a shoulder bag and has enough oomph to do virtual meetings , review /create docs and spreadsheets etc. Keyboard is excellent as is the touchpad. I purchased a dinky Bluetooth mouse but it's not needed for most things I do.
