Moustache Wax - The Audacious Beard Co

I've been using moustache waxes for many years.When you find one that does the job you need, you stick to it.Several years ago I had a wax that I liked, but then couldn't get anymore. I have a bag of hardly used tins, trying to find the perfect one. There is no way to tell before hand if the wax will actually work on your moustache. All moustaches are different, and moustache styles are different. I like mine to be quite loose, and be able to adjust and straighten throughout the day (made easier with the help of an abundance of empty shop windows in our towns and cities).After several experiments with different brands, I came across The Audacious Beard Co Moustache Wax. It is a premium product, and works absolutely perfect for me. It will hold all day long, and is easy to add more for a tighter finish. I've also tried the Extra Hold version, but that was a bit too tacky for my style, but I do use that on the tips of my moustache, to keep them behaving, ha ha.I always say that growing a handlebar moustache is mainly patience, and the the same can be said for choosing a moustache wax.I absolutely recommend this one.The enclosed photo is of the moustache all dressed up for an evening at Burgh Island, Devon.

It smells OK, not the most fragrant, quite a manly smell imo, which I found quite nice, it does the job fairly well, I wouldn't say it holds the curl brilliantly, but then I stopped doing that and let it be more natural, training it helps, definitely worth a try!

This stuff is my first foray into moustache ownership and I must say I'm impressed.The wax as it is in the tim is really quite hard, so you;ll have to work it hard with your thumb to soften it up into a more useable and malleable consistency. I'd suggest warming your hands or warming the wax itself over a radiator before doing this, as it will make the process a lot easier.Once the wax is in your moustache, it stays in and doesn't leave a flakey, horrible mess. After an hour or so it (visibly) almost disappears leaving behind nothing more than a beautiful, rugged, sculpted moustache of excellence for your peers to admire and swoon over.Being predominantly made form beeswax, the smell is quite pleasant also, which is a good thing since it'll be sat right under your snout for the whole day! I'd definitely recommend this, even to a first-time moustachio man.

I bought this to see if I could give a wiry greybeard a handlebar moustache for a Steampunk party. It was quite easy to apply, although quite a lot of it was needed to get a firm hold, but it didn't seem to last very long - certainly no more than an hour or two. The hair of the beard was grey, coarse and otherwise uncared for so I guess it just absorbed the wax. It was slightly disappointing but, on the other hand, I was a little worried how to get the wax out again and that fixed that problem - just a little soap and water was needed to get rid of the residue.The overall effect was achieved and maybe it would last longer on a finer, sleeker haired man who nourishes his beard and 'tache.

Actually looks, smells and works like overchurned butter.Impossible to scrape from the rim with anything other than a scalpel, hearing up to 2000° may allow it to be worked between your fingers, and then adding to your beard is an absolute abomination.I think I had less hold, less Stray flakes and less stress with everything I have ever tried, including being waterboarded.

Perfect size to take everywhere for when I need to top up. Price was really good. Will buy again.

Well I have had a beard for about a year now, but decided I would let it get a bit longer and whilst I was at it I would do a bit of a handle bar moustache.Now I am the kind of person who doesn't use "product" in fact my wife thought it highly amusing I was buying this young hipster stuff.I bought two products this moustache wax and this beard balm (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01K21ZNEO/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1)My thoughts were I could use the wax to keep my top lip under control and let it grow out.Now as I say this is my first moustache wax so I can't compare it to other products what I can say is that it does definitely help keep everything pointing in the right direction. I watched a couple of youtube videos on how to apply it (Sad I know but I really had no idea, this one was the most useful I think [...] but I balked at the idea of using a hair dryer to get the wax even through the hair :))I can definitely tell on the days I haven't used the wax in a morning so it must be doing something, unfortunately my tache isn't really long enough yet so I don't have a cool top lip but it is getting there and the wax is helping.I haven't really noticed much of an odour, it is a yellow/buttery colour (as shown in the photo) but doesn't show in my beard as I have dark hair. It seems to spread reasonably evenly over the hairs.I know it must be making some difference to my facial hair as my wife bursts out laughing everytime she sees me after application :)I have taken a close up before and after photo, not so much to help the review as to give my wife a giggle that I am that sad :)
