Beautiful piece of kit, I was really surprised at this machine. I bought it to replace a Chromecast dongle I had plugged in to my stereo. I stream for music I like, if I love it I buy it on vinyl which is my preferred source. I wasn't enjoying the Chromecast at all, but as I say its a means to an end for me. eventually the Chromecast got in on me so I was looking for a reasonably priced solution. I looked at Blue sound and Cambridge audio but they were too expensive to buy for something I didn't really want but needed, the Pioneer N-50 was really well reviewed but again too pricey.. having read in to the specs the only difference that I could see between N-30 and N-50 was the upscaling from poorly recorded sources. I use Spotify, so in the main all recordings are of a decent quality.Delivery was prompt and the item was well packaged as you would expect from amazon.unboxing and set up was a cinch. once connected I was immediately impressed by the step up in performance from the Chromecast, to make a comparison between the two is unfair to the Pioneer, the only thing they have in common is the ability to stream. I have the N-30 connected to a Rega Elex-r, driving a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 683S2. I was really stunned. I had no idea what I was expecting but it wasn't this... its sounds amazing. its so musical, in a toe tapping way. all instruments are clearly defined, bass is full and rich, high hats and treble have a sparkle to them and the midrange is just beautiful... I now find myself listening for long periods to music through the Pioneer. in the last couple of days I dumped Spotify and went for Tidal. its another step up in performance albeit more subtle. there are very few reviews for this product out there, so I hope this helps someone. I took a punt in a sense. but if you do read this and you're on the fence, I can promise you that you will not be disappointed if you go for this product, highly recommended.

I bought this for my second system, I already own the more expensive N50. They look almost identical and for the money, the N30ae is unbeatable. All of the features you could ask for, easy connection to wi fi and an absolute piece of cake to use. I read the what hi fi review prior to buying it, they said it sounded uninspiring. I can only say I completely disagree. It sounds fantastic! Rich, warm, dynamic, extremely detailed, wonderful sound stage. Strong and well defined bass. I cannot fault it. I am thoroughly enjoying using it. One recommendation though, do not use the cheap mains lead and interconnects that come in the box. I bought some silver plate van damme phono leads and a shielded mains cable, they made so much difference. So yes very happy, but this with confidence.

Pioneer N-30A-BGreat addition to my hifi system , playing through Cyrus setup with Tannoy floorstanders , sound quality, frequency range and depth of bass is all there , accoustics very good and well defined , used mainly for spotify and and a wide range of radio stations .Can't fault this player at all , finishes off my system and no more upgrades needed now .Do get a better set of interconnects though .

Its great and works better than some more expensive models. Airplay enables connection to Tidal (Not so with my Cambridge Magic 6ver.2). Spotify is built in but still needs the app to use. Sound/DAC are really good. You wont be disappointed if you purchase one. There are later models (N50 &N70) but the N30 is a really great price and the other 2 don't offer that much more for the price difference IMHO
