The sort of blue light emitted by monitors is too harsh for our eyes, and extended viewing leads to headaches, eye-strain, and makes it harder to get to sleep if we're looking at a screen at night. There are two ways of reducing this problem, either by adjusting your monitor to shift more towards yellow light, or wearing something that filters out the blue. I use "night shift" on my phone and iPad to do that in software, but adjusting a PC or TV screen to do the same is a bit of a fiddle to set up, and you need to change back once you've finishes playing. These glasses do the same job, and are as easy to use as putting them on and off. I've noticed a difference both in eye-strain, and getting to sleep more easily.
