Degas: A Passion for Perfection

Bought it for my dad, who wanted it for the art. He loved it! And he also really loved the written support as well. Lovely!

Great survey through the years including important rarely seen works. If Degas is most important to you because you are an artist then this is a most important book for you. Lay people may not like it as much as we who are artists.

Not a lot of pictures of Degas paintings which is what we were looking for. If you live his sculpture you’ll be happy. Kind of an odd choice since he is most known for being a master painter and sculpture is not what he was best known for.

Beautiful book. Was fortunate enough to see the exhibit in Denver -- the drawings, in particular are amazing. See the exhibit in Cambridge, England if you get a chance.

Great illustrations, thus good reference book for artists

Disappointed in the images in book. Lesser known images, which can be exciting, however, most are sketches that are not exciting.

En exemplary catalogue of a really splendid exhibition. The exhibition was thematic which allows for some wide ranging imagery in this catalogue - Degas's sculpture being a highlight. Highly recommended.
