Quite complicated, but worth it!
Takes a while to learn, but well worth it. Great to have a game with a real sense of accomplishment. Ideal for larger groups/families. Many a late night/early hours enjoyed playing this on our last family holiday. 10/10

Super fun game - gameplay is as good as your playgroup is.
Played this at my local gaming group and really enjoyed it. Decided to buy it as a christmas present for my sister one year. It's a really fun game, and it's as good as your play group is. Your players need to have the ability to act, otherwise it's not a very fun game. It may also be a bit tricky for kids, so I would recommend something else if you're thinking of playing this with children. The game has great replay-ability as each role has it's own tactics and play style. It's a good size to carry to events/friends house/coffee shops, and you don't need much space to play it.Highly recommend this game, super fun!

and I have loved the game since a long time ago
It arrved reasonably on time, and I have loved the game since a long time ago. The instructions could be a little bit clearer, and the packaging is bulky (I was expecting something smaller). But once everyone gets the hang of it, it is a really fun and nice game!

Western Voices Mandatory!
Having a group of friends who frequently have 'game' evenings (card games boards games etc.) I decided to give 'Bang!' and shot. In general opinions in the group were a little mixed; most of us enjoyed it thoroughly although I doubt it would make any of our 'Top five games ever' list - Here is a quick breakdown of our thoughts on the different aspects of the game:Game Mechanics:Fairly easy to pick up overall; the 'range' system for the weapons is a nice touch and the symbols on the cards make it easy to see what's going on. The lack of explanatory text on the cards does however mean that the first few plays involve some reference to the rules and we found a few points where the exact usage of cards was a little ambiguous however 'house rules' were soon established. The 'secret roles' of each player do make the game interesting and in one particular play through there was alot of bluffing as to who was an outlaw, renegade or deputy; If you like playing werewolves/mafia then this feature of the game will appeal to you and I think as we play it more then it will become more relevant. The one complaint most people have about this game is the player elimination - it can be fairly easy to kill a player early on but the latter parts of the game can drag meaning that people might be sat around waiting for play to finish.Look/Feel of the product itself:The cards and play mats are good quality (although I don't think the play mats are exactly necessary) and the artwork is functional yet attractive. It is worth noting that the game is Bilingual with text on cards and rules appearing in both Italian and English (with English being the second language) however for us this only added to the amusement as we all tried to play pronouncing the Italian for each card we played - The only difficulty arising from this is the use of the word draw which is used as in 'draw': to take a card and add it to you hand or 'DRAW!': a game mechanic where you look at the card value of the next card in the deck to decide the outcome of an event.Bottom Line:An enjoyable game - play it at the start of an evening, or at the end as there is not too much thinking involved. I found that after playing once I wanted to look for the expansions and I happened to find a very small expansion set called 'A fist full of cards' which added an extra twist by introducing game modifiers that change with each round. This expansion also acts as a timing element as the final modification makes the game practically sudden death.

Great game with patience
I really enjoy this game, it's great with larger groups but you need to understand it first before unleashing it upon people who don't know and particularly on people who have not played games like this.In essence it is a wild west shoot out, you have a multiple roles there is the Sheriff, the Outlaw, the Renegade and the Deputy. Each has their style of play. The sheriff wants to kill the outlaws and the renegade. The Outlaws want to kill the Sheriff (though they don't care who they kill). The Deputy is helping the sheriff to kill the outlaws and the renegade. The Renegade has the hardest job as he wants to be the last man standing but to win he has to kill the sheriff last (at any point before this the Outlaws win) so he has to swap sides and turn on the sheriff at the last moment. Each person has a character that gives them a special ability and health (between 3-4 hitpoints)and everyone picks their role at random - Only the Sheriff reveals who they are, everyone else plays it face down and they cannot tell anyone who they are. You work out by their actions i.e. is someone next to the sheriff not shooting him? they could be a deputy or Renegade. Is someone always making a point to try and shoot the Sheriff? they could be a Outlaw. The roles available change on the number of players, in 4 it's 1 Sheriff, 1 Renegade and 2 Outlaws. 5= 1 Sheriff, 1 Renegade, 2 outlaws and 1 Deputy. 6 has an addition Outlaw and 7 has another Deputy. You play in a circle/round a table and the person next to you is a distance of 1 away (everyone starts with a gun that shoots at a distance of 1) - the person next to them is 2 away so you can't shoot them until you get a better gun or the person next to you is dead (whenever someone dies the distances shift).everyone is dealt cards for their hand (to the their starting health i.e. so a person with 3 hit points starts with 3 cards), the sheriff always starts the round and picks up 2 cards from the pile (everyone starts their go by picking up 2 cards), he can play any number of cards as he can on his go except he/she can only play 1 Bang!, a Bang! is basically a shot at someone and it can only be done to someone in range - to counter a Bang! you play Missed (Mancato!), you heal hit points lost with Beer. There are 2 types of cards; brown cards that are used and discarded immediately (such as Bang!, Missed and Beer though are others that allow you to steal other opponents cards (Panico/Panic) or Discard a someone's card (Cat Balou)) and others that you play and have a continued effect until they are stolen/discarded or player is dead (these include guns but also Mustang (everyone see's you at a distance of +1) and Scope (you see everyone at a distance of -1, etc) (you can only have 1 of each type of blue rimmed card in front of you). After the Sheriff play then goes clockwise to the next player. At the end of your turn you can only hold cards in your hand as the remaining hitpoints that your character has (i.e. if my character started the round with 4 hitpoints and after i started my go (so i've picked up a further 2 cards) i only have 2 hitpoints left (and if i can't play any cards) when my go is finished i must discard 4 cards (so 2 in my hand to match the 2 hitpoints i have).Rounds keep going until any one of the players roles are fulfilled e.g. Outlaws kill the Sheriff so the game stops as the Outlaws have won etc.You can play multiple games after one another, you can give everyone new characters and roles OR those who at the end of the last game survived can keep their character (everyone is given a role at random but those who died are given a new character). We have played quiet a few times with friends and played so that we have used all the characters in one sitting. The issue is that you have the general rules that you can explain but because of all the symbols and the character powers it can be a bit overwhelming and needs to be explained a few times. So we found that it helps having a person who knows the game be the sheriff so that other people can see what they are doing. But that said once they get it a lot of the people i've played it with (teenagers - 60's) have really enjoyed and we've played a couple of rounds.i'm looking forward to getting the expansion :P.....
