Casio Men Analogue Watch Edifice

After my old Casio Wave Ceptor watch strap broke (as for some reason they all use a cheap plastic bit to connect metal strap to metal watch), unfortunately I couldn't find a new replacement from a UK retailer. So I began looking round for a decent alternative, with a better strap & quality look, without breaking the bank on a big name watch. This Casio Edifice seemed to fit the bill, with a decent sized face, clear of distracting secondary dials/digital displays, without multiple buttons to control things I'd never use like a stop watch timer. And crucially with a decent quality all metal strap & a scratch proof face (my old Wave Ceptors all scratched up pretty badly, having cheaper face material). Subjectively I think it looks great & more expensive than it actually is. Also it's not big & showy, or fashion conscious & trendy. It's not trying to be anything except a watch, and that's a very good thing in my view! The only thing I'd change is the lack of a day of the week display (it only shows the date).

I bought this because it has a large face, easy to see hands, looks good and competitive price (I am over 80 years old) so ticked all the boxes! David

Excellent rapport qualité-prix : verre saphir, bracelet en métal dans la masse et non creux, très peu épaisse. Bonus (sur la mienne en tous cas) l'aiguille des secondes s'arrête sur les marqueurs. Elle aurait néanmoins gagné à être plus petite.

È un orologio di ottima fattura, tutto in metallo, ma abbastanza leggero, il vetro è zaffiro industriale, quindi pressoché inscalfibile, ha la nota precisione del quarzo giapponese, ed infine la resistenza all' acqua fino a 10 bar (una bella nuotata non crea alcun problema). Esteticamente è anche molto bello, con una finitura eccellente. Vale ben oltre il suo prezzo e quindi lo consiglio a chi è stanco degli smartwatch e cerca un orologio tradizionale di alta qualità senza spendere una fortuna.

Stor men ganska platt dinka med hög kvalitetskänsla. Uret är tungt och väldigt robust, det är prisvärt och upplevs dyrare än vad det är. Du behöver nog en handled på minst 18 cm (har själv bara 17cm) för att denna Casio ska sitta bekvämt på din handled. Litet minus för att klockan saknar gängad krona och att luminisensen bara syns på visarna. (Se bild 3)
