Something for everyone
I had the pleasure of attending Storm Dunlop's Astronomy Course some years ago. The students ranged from novices such as I was at the time, having upgraded (!?) from Star Trek, to a couple of astrophysicists and he managed to enthuse us all with his enthusiasm and his pure love of his subject. For me, this book reflects everything we found in that class - it is packed-full of information from the simple to the more-advanced, indeed, something for everyone to read and then go out and discover the glories of our night sky. This annual publication has become my bible over the years and I wouldn't be without it.

Highly recommended.
This is a great little book, clear and interesting - written in a style easily understood but not over-simplistic. It will provide a year's worth of fascinating information for any age interested in simple astronomy.

Useful book, lightweight and small so easy to carry also
Bought as a Christmas present and the recipient was very happy with it. Useful book for planning the next 12 months of sky gazing. Great price and the book is a good size for putting in your bag and taking places with you easily.

Get Star Gazing
I've used this book lots since I got it. There is an interesting straightforward introduction to the sky and what's up there, a very good map of the moon and an introduction to the monthly pages. Then just have a quick look at that months sky picture to orientate yourself, go outside and start to pick off the stars. Now you can pick out all those constellations and planets that you've heard about but never really been able to work out before. every month comes with a look North and South, the months moon phases and the top views of the month.

Good read.
I bought this book for my son and daughter in law who live in a very remote dark skies area. They regularly take time to star gaze now and appreciate where they live a little more.

Good Informative Book
Great little book. Very informative. My son loves it as does a lot of astronomy. Very useful for beginners to the topic as well.

Quite a small guide
Overall a nice guide, however it is not as detailed as I expected it to be. It does show the night sky above Britain and Ireland over each month but the information given is only general. The cover price is £6.99, which is not worth it in my opinion.

Very useful.
Very informative and useful. What a joy to find that the two very close stars in the south south eastern sky were Jupiter and Mars. Lovely.
