Essentials Chamomile Flowers German 500 g

500g German Chamomile (matricaria chamomilla) flowers grown in Egypt, so they'll have been grown well and be clean. Gorgeous fragrance, whole flowerheads, some stems, nicely dried with only a little of the inevitable crushing of some of the delicate flowerheads. I've uploaded a couple of pics so you can see the quality of these dried flowers and see the colour of the tea they've brewed. I'm sipping the cup as I write this and wish there was a "scratch & sniff" facility on your screen, because the fragrance of this is really lovely - lightly herbal with apple notes, this is a lovely tea with just a touch of honey to sweeten it. Chamomile has been respected for centuries as calming and sedating, and tonic to the digestive tract. I make a brew of this in one of those glass tea infusers, or you could put two heaped dessertspoonsful of these flowers into a teapot per pint of water just off the boil, brew, well covered for ten minutes, strain. If you want to boost the effects, press the brewed flowers hard, crushing them and re-infuse with fresh boiling water to release further oils. The heads macerate quickly as they're softened by the first brewing. Strained, they make an equally delicious tea, but this second brew from the marc is the one I generally keep back for adding to ointments and anti-inflammatory creams. If only I can keep myself from drinking it.

As some reviewers mentioned, a bit of fine dust in bag, but it is such a large quantity its really not a concern. Extremely good value when you consider how much they sell even tiny quantities in poncy tea shops for. My guess is they are sourcing their content from exactly the same supplier, so why not get it direct and split it into jars, last you the year and give the rest away to any sleep deprived friends. Taste wise it's perfect, hint of sweetness and lovely aroma. It definitely helps with sleep and calmness, you've just got to be realistic about contradictions if you put any other crap in your body near bedtime.

This chamomile arrived quickly, and its quality is great. It's full of flavours and essential oils, it smells really strong and great. Regarding the concerns of another reviwer: It definitely is German Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), allthough grown in Egypt. German Chamomile is a species of chamomile and not where it grows. I could fill 2 litre jars with this bag, and a little bit is still left.

I wasn't expecting a bag *quiiite so big*. It was about the size of an A3 pillow. It filled 5 large pickle jars. It's been almost a month now, on about 4 cups a day max. I've gotten through maybe half a jar! I'd say it's definitely better value for money than even shop brand teabags as you can decide exactly how strong you want it, I use less than their recommended 1.5g (1 dsp) per person in a teapot. By the way, I'd definitely recommend using a herbal strainer thingy in your teapot. They float and make an awful mess otherwise.

The size is just wow!i didn't expect it to be this much, it is going to last for years;)but i love it! Used it for my eyes and skin. It worked

Super! Lovely strongly scented whole heads with relatively little dust. Seem very fresh! Having been using one tablespoon steeped in just boiled water and strained before bedtime as a daily sleep aid with fantastic results - a thorough and tranquil sleep experience. Wonderful herb, would recommend and re-order. Great value as a subscribe and save item.

Having read some other reviews I was a little concerned about the quality of this item. I shouldn't have been. It is fantastic. Full scent and wonderful full flavour. I will be buying this again, soon.

Really lovely, the amount u get for basically £10 is amazing, the quality is high and the taste is great , fantastic in tea and very nice to smoke as well but u will need to grind it up first so it rolls better

Will buy again. I like everything about it. It's a big difference with the tea bag; this one is a real chamomile experience and versatile uses. i drink it as tea, but can also use it to make a bath or nose rinse or face wash. Chamomile is good for so many things, and it is nice to have a full, large bag of it at home. Will buy again.

All'interno ci sono 500gr di fiori essiccati di camomilla. Considerate che nonostante il pacco sia termo sigillato in plastica trasparente l'odore riesce ad uscire.... Mi ha letteralmente profumato tutta casa. Ho appena testato l'infusione e devo dire che e' un prodotto di OTTIMA qualita'... Ero un po titubante vista la provenienza, ma mi sono ricreduto subito. Unica pecca se cosi' si puo' dire e' che la busta di fiori secchi e' morbida, e non rigonfia di aria (sicuramente per ottimizzare gli spazi di spedizione), quindi durante la spedizione un po di prodotto inevitabilmente si sfrigola. Ma se pensiamo alla quantità' di prodotto presente e al prezzo ci accorgiamo subito che quello che ho appena detto e' veramente trascurabile. Excellente '' Camomille Allemande ''.. J'ai été malade en buvant de la camomille en sachet de chez '' la tisanière '' 🙄 du coup je me suis dis stop les sachets à infuser et je ne le regrette pas d'ailleurs j'évite autant que possible de ne plus boire que des infusions ou des thés naturels que je trouve souvent chez Amazon en plus... Alors cette camomille sent si bon que dès la livraison on sent ce qu'il y a dans le colis et après m'en être fait plusieurs fois je ne suis pas déçue du tout, j'ai acheté 1 kilos c'est à dire 2 sachets de 500 grammes car la camomille a beaucoup de bienfaits, un paquet je l'ai gardé tel quel et un autre j'en ai transvasé la contenu dans 2 grandes bouteilles en verre...
