Fantastic kit for the money!
I should have reviewed this item a loooong time ago. I've got to say for the price (currently £13.99), you simply cannot go wrong if you are looking to start mixing drinks at home. This set has pretty much everything you need apart from a jigger (measuring cup).THE PROS- The metal tin is of very decent quality, sturdy design and just works.- The boston glass has fairly thick walls to withstand all the ice colliding while shaking.- The barspoon is exactly as pictured and is of surprisingly good quality with a small muddler attachment for muddling sugar etc.- The hawthorne strainer is what you would expect for the price. Not a very fine mesh strain but absolutely acceptable.THE CONS- The muddler is entirely made of plastic and fairly cheap looking. Also no guarantee that it is made of food safe plastic. As you can see the pros definitely outweigh the cons.I have made literally hundreds of cocktails with this thing and it's still going strong. If that's not value for money I don't know what is.Highly recommended for just making cocktails at home for fun or budding mixologists.

Great value
I bought this starter cocktail making set on a budget and was pleased to find that all the items are of high quality and are sturdy/do not feel 'cheap'.The downside I would say (which is maybe as a result of the relatively low price) is that all the items are loose in the box it comes in, and so if you're wishing to give it as a gift, you'll have to either wrap the items individually or find another box to package them in. Nevertheless, the items are packaged securely and protectively and so if repackaging the items is no problem for you, or it is an item for your own use, I'd definitely recommend.

for the product itself the quality of the contents is good, especially for the price
Packaging was safe and secure, for the product itself the quality of the contents is good, especially for the price. The shaker seals well and the cocktail spoon is sturdy. The only minor annoyance is the visibility of a plastic mould line on the muddled though this is only a minor concern.Overall a neat little kit if you are unfamiliar with Boston-style shakers and would recommend to anyone wanting to kickstart their drinks game.

Excellent and a good price, have used over a year
Have been using this for over a year, an excellent cocktail kit, does everything you need really. You could get extra items like a lemon zester, but for a newbie this is all you need. I have made many different cocktails. The one thing I would say is you will need a tea strainer, because the drainer isn't enough for certain cocktails like a moijito for example (bits of mint will go through the drainer).I rarely use the muddler, I occasionally crush a lime with it, probably better to have the lime/lemon squeezers.

the only addition would be a good quality spirit jigger
Quality is superb, the contents are exactly what is needed, the only addition would be a good quality spirit jigger Bar Craft Stainless Steel Dual Spirit Measure Cup . No need for any guides or recipe books, the internet is full of that and anyway half the fun is experimenting and finding what you like.My recommendation is:25ml Cointreau25ml Zubrowka Vodka75ml Pomegranate juicejuice of half a limeShaken over ice and strained into a chilled glass.Cheers!

WORTH EVERY PENNY
Strange that I end up buying this set to get me through Sober for October but making different mocktails has helped me to stay away from the alcohol! It's a great set for the money, everything of high quality and robust, e.g. the muddler can easily break up frozen raspberries or blueberries for my 'Raspberry Bees Knees" or "Wildcat Cooler" (who knew?). Link here for some unusual but easy to make mocktails with this set [...] Roll on November!!

Value for money
Of the many cocktail shakers I have purchased this was the best value for money and quality. I did however get this on a deal offer.

Good Starter Set
Nice set, tin and glass are great quality, strainer and muddler are good.Only let down is the spoon, its awful, cheap and I threw it away and ordered a better one but set it still great value!I use it every weekend in the bar and it seems like it will last a good while.
