Brilliant little saw. Lightweight and easily packed
Brilliant little saw. Lightweight and easily packedWell made little saw that dismantles and packs into a cylindrical tube which is made up of the saw handles.Everything packs inside. Comes in a net drawstring bag.Two blades supplied. Warning! very sharp. The whole thing takes just a couple of minutes to assemble and is solid with no stressing of the frame.Very good easily carried saw for camping or even light garden work.RecommendedUPDATE: July 2020. Ordered this item again as a present. The item I received this was in a bubble pack with two blades but no drawstring bag. Not an issue. Same saw and while there are others of this design Amazon this has two blades, where others seem to have just one.

Well this is awesome
Was looking at more expensive folding bow saws then found this and gave it a go. It's perfect! Lightweight, solid as a rock and pack's down into a small tube

Great
Excellent, very lightweight, working saw for hiking camping etc. Seems robust, folds (comes Apart) to a nice stowable size, cuts very well. But for one tiny criticism, I would have given it 5 stars, It comes with 2 blades which is good but when assembled there's a spare blade with no where safe to store it, hence only 4 stars. If only the oval spreader bar (or blade was smaller) was wider it could have been stored there whilst assembled.

Excellent packable saw but heavier than a folding variety
Still to use in anger but looks like a great bit of kit.ProsGoes anywhere in your pack and is really easy to assemble. Stores away inside the handles and while i'd like the handles to taper slightly to make a more secure fit when it's stripped down, possibly with some neoprene grip take added, I really can't complain so far. Mine came with 2 blades, 1 for dry wood, 1 for green wood straight off the tree, so great for bushcrafters in camp needs.ConsIt wraps up in a net bag which isn't the best quality bag I've ever owned but it does the job.13 inch blades which I can't find anywhere, so I've picked up some 15 inch ones that I'll trim down. The blades are held in place by a rivet at each end of the blade which doesn't come out to put in any replacement blades and replacement blades don't come with the rivet. A small bolt should fix this. Finally, as you would expect from a metal tube its fairly heavy, certainly more so then a standard DIY saw. If you're an ultralighter then this isn't for you, a small folder like a Bahco laplander is much lighter but the bucksaw is a lot more heavy duty and looks like a really good in camp saw.

Excellent backpacking tool
This buck saw is cheap as chips, and performs, as well as most full-size bozos, with the ability to take it down and store in a very small tube. Mine came with two blades, and they both look the same-they both work well, but would be nice if they had two different types of blades. All in all, have used it two or three times whilst in the woods, having a fire, and cut through branches up to 4 inches quite easily.

A good collapsible buck saw
Been trying to get one of these for about two years, they seem to disappear off the market sometimes or are sold way overpriced. The shipping from Germany was quick and the item was well packaged arriving in great condition. The saw is pretty solid and well made costing a lot less than many of the plastic handled name brand collapsible saws and is easy to assemble, going into one tube when taken apart. The blade provided has downright vicious and very sharp teeth that are up to the job and then some. With an occasional change of blade this item will last a lifetime. The down side....If you're backpacking long distances or rough terrain where weight is an issue, while this saw isn't hugely heavy, it's heavy enough to make a difference, maybe this isn't the saw for you. My only other issue is.... what looks like a guarantee form was with the saw which requires sending details back to the company and it's only in German. Considering they were selling direct on Amazon UK, an English version would have been great. Rather than that, a good product and a smooth transaction!
