AeroGarden 9 Heirloom Cherry Tomato Seed Pod Kit, Multi-Colour

I've done an experiment, as I didn't believe I could raise sturdy healthy tomatoes from this Aerogarden Harvest hydroponics system on my kitchen worktop,Its amazing, please see photo of my AeroGarden tomatoes compared with the AeroGarden seeds I had in three spare pods, that I planted the traditional method,The results are fantastic,If you are Oohming and Ahhing about getting an AeroGarden system, don't!Just get it, you won't be disappointed, kids will love it too,

Firstly it clearly states in the item description what you will receive in the 9 pod kit (4 seed pods and 5 spacers) and in the 6 pod kit ( 2 seed pods and 4 spacers )leaving a low star rating and poor review because you didn’t bother to read what you are paying for and what you will ultimately receive is in my opinion very unfair ( you know who you are )My experience growing the tomatoes as been exceptional.I planted them in the middle of June and must have had in excess of 150 tomatoes so far with at least another 40+ growing with about 20 flowers pollinating. I will agree with one reviewer the taste is slightly less than bought ones( I’m no gardener that’s probably due to the Aerogarden ones growing in water and not soil). For the convenience of picking them when I want them I’ll excuse the slightly less flavour.Ive grown the herb and salad kits which both grew well but in my experience do not come close to the tomato kit and I will deffo be ordering when they stop producing.Jobs a Goodun !Update Friday 3rd MayStill producing tomatoes in fact I harvested 14 this morningJobs still a Goodun !

I bought this kit not because I really wanted tomato pods but because I desperately needed some spacers. The page says for £10 you get 2 tomato pods and 4 spacers. I got 6 tomato pods and zero spacers. There is a note advising they have updated their kits and there is no need for spacers.. supplier should change both the description and their boxes.Apart from that it's a really good batch of tomato pods. Every single seed germinated that I have so far planted. The tomato plants are sturdy and got loads of tomatoes on them which are now turning red. I have added some photos of one of these.

Another great set of plants for my aerogarden - I have the 6 hole variety. In two weeks I have now got 6, 3" high, very healthy looking tomato plants. Sadly I now need to cull them back to the healthiest ones or things will get overcrowded. As it only took four weeks from planting to cropping my salad leaves, I am sure I will soon be picking tomotoes on my windowsill. Its such am easy way to grow food all year round. I did worry about taste, but the lettuces were very tasty despite the fast growth. The tomatoes of course are the ultimate taste test. If these are just as tasty, then I am a very happy woman! I shall comment back when I get the chance on the results, but if you dont hear anything, they were indeed lovely :)

All pods grew, but a couple died off early before producing fruit. The tomato yield wasn't great. There also wasn't a great deal of flavour in our opinion. They grow quite tall. I have a the original AeroGarden with the CFL lights and had to detatch and suspend the lighting hood using extension cables to accomodate the height.For those using the original AeroGarden, a little hint to note is to remove the plastic crossbards inside the water container by just pulling them out, as the pods are longer than the original ones. So the bars are in the way of some pods. Removing the bars makes no difference to the operation of the unit.

Fantastic!! LOADS grown and I only planted two tomato pods :) you need patience with them but once they come through, delicious and juicy. Another win from Aerogarden 👍🏻

Arrived really quickly. Are in my Aerogarden. 4 days later i can see sprouting as promised. Just a matter of the waiting game now. *(*_*)*

I must admit that it is fascinating to watch the growth of these plants in a fraction of the time!I bought an AeroGarden for my son last Christmas and we have just grown herbs thus far. However, he wants to make homemade tomato sauce, so here we are giving tomatoes a go.The pods are simple to set up, as you just pop them into the holder space in the AeroGarden and add liquid food plus fill the tank with water. Switch on the device to give the plants blue and red light for about 15 hours every day.The seedlings were stretching for light in about 10 days, and the image above is the plants after about 4 weeks. They already have the flower heads, so it looks like we may be seeing tiny tomatoes in record time. Did have some blight n the plants but I recognised and treated with this, so the plants remain healthy and the yield should not be affected.What can I say, so far so good!Definitely GREAT FUN to grow these indoors.UPDATED - 1 November 2019The plants have ALL developed blight, which I would not think possible indoors, so clearly it stems from the seeds. I am very disappointed after such a promising start. Th leaves and branches are falling off now. The plants look unhealthy and unlikely to produce any tomatoes.I hope that Aerogarden respond as they should replace these pods with HEALTHY ones!Review downgraded to 1 star as a result...........sorry, but this is unacceptable :(

Ottimo prodotto, ottima qualità e servizio. Tutti 6 baccelli sono germogliati, e anche di brutto. Tanta roba, però già quasi 3 mesi nessuna fioritura anche concimando frequentemente. Pazienza. Spero che ci sarà qualche frutto. Da provare....per appassionati

A mí me vinieron perfectamente, estaban las seis cápsulas de tomates.Adjunto una foto de las plantas después de 111 días.Ya hay tomates y alguno empezando a madurar.

Ja, es sind wirklich nur zwei drin. Das steht aber auch in der Beschreibung.Hab sie in der Maschine gezogen und dann in den Topf umgesetzt. Zwei Wochen sind sie nun alt und sie wachsen als gäbs kein Morgen mehr!
