Excellent little tool, well made, simple, pocketable.The IR power is alright up to 60 feets, further just forget it.The IR power setting is useless there is virtually no differences between the three different modes.If these restrictions float your boat, you'll be a happy camper !

Bought for work to assist in working in pitch black finding hiding criminals. Works great. Robust little device easy to store and use. Service was superb.

Works well

Bought to use in a traditional photographic film darkroom. Much better visibility and resolution than a cheap (but not as cheap as this) gen 1 Night Vision scope and about 5 times lighter so it should be easy to attach it to GoPro style headgear for hands free use. Equally important, this is 1x magnification compared with 3x plus of all the cheap (but not as cheap) gen1 devices, so you can see what your hands, and feet, are actually doing.Biggest con is that it is underpowered with 3 AAA batteries even good ones. If you use it continuously with its IR light turned on batteries quickly lose voltage and the unit begins to switch itself or its IR illuminator off while you still need it and takes a while to restart. Best to use it with the illuminator off all the time and an IR torch but not convenient. I may try rechargeable lithium batteries. Another con: the switches are horrible to use. I glued little nuts on them but this probably invalidates the guarantee.So this an idea that is getting there, but could be a world beater as it is the only one available in uk that I see that has the useable 1x (non)magnification- but tyhey need to make it much less annoying

nice little bit of kit ,does the job well.

Very good value for your money. saves me using night scope to see while hunting. Small and easy to hold.
