Nice and loud, easy to install and the better is seem to last a very long time.

Works well.
This is a replacement for another door alarm that went faulty - it was easy to install and works well. The only critism is the fixing of the main unit to wall is a single screw which makes the unit wobble when entering the codes.

okay not diccreet enough
its great but obviously to switch between chime and alwarm, you need to remove it from the door, unscrew it, its not ideal. Also it woul dbe great to have a silent mode for the input of passcode, I hate that my neighbours etc know when I'm leaving as its very loud. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP it needs to be more discreeet

A good buy as long as you have reasonable expectations
It is not a Yale home alarm system so don't expect too much, but for the price it is a great little self contained device. So far no force alarms and simplicity itself to fit and use. If you have an out shed, garage, locker, or other door to monitor this unit will work fine. It will not scare anyone away, but it will let those nearby know the door has been opened.

Waste of money.
You can pull it off the wall and stamp on it as you can't secure it and it waits 30 secs before sounding the alarm. Waste of money.

Still going strong
Had one of these fitted and protecting my shed for about 18months now, perfect...and still on the same batteries. No false alarms just does its work

Returned as could not change the delay time before the alarm activated. Was 45 seconds from memory which would allow a thief to be gone with the goods in that time!

So good I bought another one
This is a compact, battery operated alarm- it is incredibly easy to install, hanging on a single screw, rather like a clock or if you don't want to put a hole in the hanging area sticky pads can be used and, crucially, when triggered is incredibly loud. Set up is easy and the instructions clearly guide you through this in a very simple and easy to understand manner. It has a beep to remind you to dis-arm it when it has been triggered- so you can't forget to do so...unless you are my teenager ( which is how we know exactly how loud it is!) and runs on easy to obtain AAA batteries (3 of them). I have one on my shed door which hangs on a screw and is secured with all around band ( stops any intruders being able to unhook it and chuck it over the fence and out of ear shot) and one on my French doors, held on with sticky pads as I didn't want a screw in the upvc. The batteries seem to be lasting well, obviously this depends on usage- if it is armed/disarmed a lot or set off a lot they will run down quicker than one which is rarely used or set off....so far my shed alarm has had the same batteries in it for several months and Is armed/disarmed several times daily and has been set off once for a few moments.

I like this product. It is easy to set up and program with security code with numbers 1-4.. There is a 45 second delay for entry/exit. I used it for the back pool/patio door. Measures approx. 4 in length by 2 1/2 wide by 1 1/4 thick. It takes 3 AAA batteries which I like better than the small round ones most come with. The back area where batteries go has a screw holding the back in place so a person cannot just flip it open and remove the batteries. The screw requires one of those tiny Phillips screwdrivers you can pick up for a dollar. The alarm is loud in my opinion. This would be a serious distraction for a intruder. This is my third type portable alarm of this type and this one is the loudest yet. I like the security of knowing if I am asleep across the house and that door moves, the alarm will wake me, and that allows me to sleep in peace. You have the choice of alarm or chime mode which is set along with the code in the secured battery area. The sound from this portable alarm has the same effect as a monitored system, as intruders wouldn't know it is not connected to a response system. I think it is loud enough to attract attention from neighbors in my suburban neighborhood. And if it were on a shed outside even more so. This product is made to be placed inside a structure out of the weather. I have managed to drop it twice from about 5 feet onto tile and it hasn't fazed it a bit. There are screws included for permanent mount, and double sided sticky tape. Also a screw hole in back for simple hanging. I use Command Strips to attach mine to the door and works fine. I think you get a lot for such a low price

This alarm is awesome, I tested it to see how loud it actually is. I mounted it at eye level with some glue, which I can simply remove with some solvent later to change the batteries when necessary. The alarm is so loud that it is near debilitating. Very simple to program and arm/disarm. Would highly recommend over that piece of junk GE alarm. My advice when mounting this alarm, don't try and screw the mount in, just use glue. Glue will hold the unit in place and keep intruders from just taking it off the door and disposing of it. A light spray of cleaning oil will dissolve the glue when you need to change the batteries. A lot of people are complaining about mounting this unit. UPDATE: 6/20/18 How? This thing has been used daily arming and disarming. The original batteries are still good. It's always worked reliably and its been years i believe. Great Product

I bought this to secure my shed in my backyard. I had recently purchased a John Deere ride on mower and was looking for a bit of extra security. I secured it on the inside with the main body on the wall, and the sensor on the door. Installation was easy as was creating a pin. I also tested the alarm. It's a very jarring high pitch squeal. Loud enough to hear inside my house. It's a great temporary solution when dealing with like security issues.

Have had this for a year and I feel ABSOLUTELY happy with this purchase. The alarm is a PIERCING whistle that I can hear all the way to the front of my house. I know this because my Mom have forgotten several times to disarm it when she opened the garage door. It does not seem to drain the batteries much (it's been a year and I haven't had to change the batteries yet) or I must have gotten a good battery brand. The only con is sometimes you have to enter the code several times to get it to shut off once the alarm goes off. If you purchase one, just make sure you listen for the beep and check for the blinking light to know if it's activated or not.
