Great little work table!
This is my third Pony portable folding work table. I have used the two I have with great regularity for at least a couple of years now. Most of my saws and power equipment are mounted on wheeled stands. I roll them outside for much of my work so I don’t need to worry too much about dust and dust control. The Pony tables are my outdoor work benches. I secure boards to them that I want to use my router on and sometimes use them to place longer boards on for quick crosscuts that are awkward for one person to manage on a table saw. I like that they come with clamps and a few bench dogs (you can never have too many clamps) that you can store on the table. Very useful! They are tough! I’ve used the first and second ones a LOT and they are still solid and strong. I only got another one to add to the lineup, not because the older ones are getting worn. And placed side by side on a concrete slab they make for a nice sized outdoor workbench that can be quickly put up and taken down. They are VERY easy and simple to set up and folded they take up very little room in the shop. The height is readily adjustable, also quick and simple to do while providing a 10 inch range from 25 inches to 35 inches. Just to add some numbers, you see in the pics that three of these folded up take up about 3.7 sq.ft. of floor space. They unfold together into just over 16 sq.ft., a nice sized work area. Once folded, they are well out of the way and out of my path through the shop. These Pony folding work tables are among my favorite items in the shop and get a great deal of use. The price has varied over time (imagine that) but for the quality of what you get, the price is a bargain! I heartily recommend these work tables!

You can look all you want, but get this one!
Like most of you, I do my homework when adding a critical piece of equipment to my work tools, and this is no different for a portable workbench. The reviews I read here and elsewhere consistently rated the Pony portable bench higher than the top competitors for performance and durability, but a hands-on YouTube video review by the “Kite Army” channel really sold me. Andrew gave an excellent tutorial on the table set-up and use with the various clamps and dogs for his projects. When I found the table discounted 20% during a recent Prime Days, I had no choice but to get it. Out of the box the table is already assembled and if you watched the Kite Army video you’ll already know how to raise the adjustable legs, open the unit and raise up and secure each half of the workbench surface if you’re not using it as a sawhorse. Just be sure to get the top supporting bars locked into the right location and you’ll have a level working surface. The set of four clamps and bench dogs are nicely package in separate boxes. My first project for the Pony workbench was the assembly of a small, knock-down IKEA wannabe chest of drawers for a friend with about four different types of screws. This was simple work for the Pony, but it made me appreciate the small pockets in the working surface for screws. I also loved the adjustable legs, which I typically use at the highest setting. I noticed in reviews of competitive tables a problem with cracking or chipping of the plastic, but the polymer used the Pony is not brittle in nature which should make it more impact resistant and durable in the long run. Time will tell. The two large clamps mount securely in the lower tool tray and can be folded with the table for storage and/or transport. It took a minute or two to figure out how to properly mount the clamps at first, but now I do it without much thought. I like this feature as I will frequently be taking this unit with me in the back of my SUV. In conclusion, for all the features, durability, quality clamps and price point, I can’t see buying any other table except this one. I purchased mine at a discount, but I wouldn’t hesitate to pay the full price if I couldn’t wait for the next sale. Good luck with your decision!

a lot of great features!
UPDATE: just bought another to expand work table size and functionality: a lot of great features! For me, the individually rear/front adjustable height legs was reason to buy. In the attached picture you can see I have a garden shed with sloped ramp. Setting pair of legs to 30" and other pair to 35" produced completely level zero bubble and was stable. I use the leg height adjustment as an off-feed for my portable table tools: table saw, compound miter saw and router table which are all different heights. I also have 2 Worx tables which are similar but do not have adjustable legs I needed for shed ramp and better saw table off-feed. The other cool features are the clamps which can be used perpendicular to surface through the dog holes so not confined to edges of table like my folding Worx tables which have non-removable F-clamp ends so you can't slide them through dog holes like the PONY Jorgenson. Noting getting a second smaller pair of Jorgenson clamps adds value. The main advantage of the Worx tables are the F- clamp grooves are actually miter gauge compatible and I have a extendable miter fence with T-tracks so that is where the Worx works better. Both Worx and Pony come fully assembled but Pony was missing instructions so I figured out most then downloaded the manual to discover the other features. Both fold neat, easy to carry but the Worx was faster open and close. Dogs and holes vary in snugness was only negative but were unique that Pony clamps are part of the table clamp using dogs rather than back end of clamp. The back of clamp can be removed to fit through table dog holes for vertical clamp. Would be better if the surface color was light shade of grey so it doesn't get too hot in summer sun. The main advantages of Worx was the lower price and miter track - $60 less in my purchases. I'm glad to have 4 tables with best of both sets of features along with a pair of off-feed roller stands makes my outdoor workspace highly functional and much safer.

Excellent workbench. Pony-Joregenson has become one of my favorite woodworking support tools!
I love everything about this workbench. The versatility of the clamps and bench dogs are second to none. I have a Pony sawhorse so I knew I was going to love this. I love the fact that there are multiple areas to attach bench dogs and clamps. It certainly makes it easy to create a fence to work against. It’s well built and sturdy to boot. The table does lock in place so it isn’t going to collapse on you. If I would make a couple of suggestions for Pony/Jorgenson, I would find a way to make it less heavy but given the sturdiness of it I can understand why. It’s not a big deal but might be for some if they are transporting it. Second, it would be nice if they could make the adjustable legs a Iittle bit longer. I am a tall person so a few more inches would make a huge difference. However it is not a huge deal breaker. I think this is the best workbench I have used (except for the taller one I built for myself out of wood 😉) If you’re on the fence but you are looking for a strong, sturdy and reliable workbench, just go ahead and pick this up. I can’t guarantee you won’t love it but if you are looking for items like I mentioned and don’t mind the small minuses I mentioned you should be happy with it.

Perfect.
This work table is awesome. Its very sturdy and well built. The clamps are very high quality. I bought it to tinker with projects in my living room. It works great for that, and then folds up neatly to be slid out of sight. I have also made a drawing board that clips onto the top and added a portable drafting board to that. If I only set up half the table top and raise two of the legs it works as a decent drafting table. I've had a few ideas for job specific features and jigs to add to it. I'd be lying if I said I havent eaten dinner in front of the tv on the thing a few times too. The adjustable height adds to the versatility. It can go as low as 25" which works perfect for my couch height. I love it.

Redo review: Perfectly good work table
I have come to terms with this workbench, having found and worked around the flaws noted in my previous review. I have used it for a few days now, and it seems I was mistaken about the stability issue... it was unstable because one of the legs was shortened by one notch. This is due to the previously mentioned fact that only two of the legs have graduated markings on them, the leg that was short had no markings, and was tight to move out to the last notch. To keep it "locked" in the open position I have taken to habitually putting a brick on the orange plates/shelf when i first open it and place it down. Using the top-down clamping approach is not as bad to implement as I thought. The Jorgensen clamps are designed well with a quick-detach on the standing end that allows for fast positioning in one of the dog holes and re-attaching it to the clamp bar below the table deck. Speaking of delivery, I had a competitor's table, the "flying horse" model, ordered and sent to me. I received the box partially crushed, so this seems to be habitual for our delivery services with large items. The table was inferior to this Pony model even if it had not been damaged in shipment: the shelf/table/wings did "lock" into place like my old B&D sawhorses, but it was made of some really flimsy plastic that wobbled and sagged - even with no weight on it! So I have come to believe that this workbench is what it is: not a tool for professionals but good enough for a DIY person like myself. Professionals either would buy one of those multi-hundred dollar setups with all the bells and whistles that you can build a house on top of, or build one themselves. I don't have the time or patience to build one, or room to store something like that. So Pony it is. PREVIOUS REVIEW: I have received two of these now, the first one was broken - one of the orange folding "plates" at the bottom had a huge crack in it. The second one I received has a single "tab" broken off one orange plate, where one of the included clamps mounts to it. Not trying a third time as the next one might arrive in pieces. There is a "lock" to keep it closed when folded up for storage, good because it is 35+lbs. and a bit unwieldy to carry around if that was unlocked. However, there is no lock to keep it in the "opened", unfolded position. The orange "plates" look like they fold down together to "lock" the bottom part of the triangle in position, but they don't "lock" or go "over center" like my 20-year-old Black and Decker plastic sawhorses do, to lock open. These orange plates are constantly folding up when the table is moved, so once opened and placed one cannot move the table safely without removing everything from the top and carefully repositioning it so it doesn't fold up like a house of cards. I put a heavy tool or a small brick or two on this to prevent it from folding prematurely. It seems a separate lock for the folding mechanism would have been simple to engineer into this thing, even one modeled on the locking mechanism a folding table uses for the legs would have been welcome. That caveat aside, once in position it is relatively stable for clamping things to, the weight helps there. Inserting the clamps into the table uses a clever mechanism to lock the clamp on to the table from the underside. But only from one plane: you can only use the clamps in this manner from short side ends of the table, not from the long side. Oh sure, there is a picture in the instructions on how to clamp downwards from the top by using the detachable clamp end to place under the table, then insert the bar through one of the dog holes and reattach the clamp end underneath the table top, but this seems weird and is a band-aid solution at best, not to mention requiring 5 arms and hands, and the assistance of a small child to get it all aligned and working. I used it as a clamping sawhorse for about 10 pieces of lumber yesterday, 8-foot 2x4 pine boards. The clamps held these well, even when having 6 feet of one sticking out off the table surface, unsupported. To truly have a good solution for this though is to purchase two of these tables and use them together. The foot extension mechanism is tight and locks in place unless the particular foot is raised off the ground to change it's height. The legs are independently adjustable - and only independently adjustable; there is no synchronization between, say two legs on one side. Only two of the legs are marked for their extension lengths - one on each tressel - the other two are bare. This leaves one guessing at the correct length for the unmarked legs. Storage: it weighs 37 lbs with all the accessories attached according to the box, so you won't be hanging this off a couple of peghooks. It is also top-heavy, so if storing standing up on the floor, finding a place where it will stay upright is key as the feet are "canted" to be flat when in the unfolded position, and are unreliable at best when folded.

Everything about this work bench is perfect
This is the perfect portable work bench. Any of the reviews of people saying that it’s too heavy are crazy. It’s nice and light and portable, yet extremely sturdy and rigid. Good sized work surface, plus the 4 included clamps are a huge bonus. The dog holes work with any normal 3/4” dog hole accessories. Which I recommend getting some low profile dog hole clamps. It makes sanding so much easier. 10/10 I will recommend this to anyone and everyone that I know.

A great table, and some comparisons to the Worx Pegasus table
I've used this for a few months now on several smallish projects. I've used it for sawing, sanding, routing, painting/staining, and just general this and that. Overall I'm very pleased with the table. I also purchased a Worx Pegasus table, but opted to give that away as I liked the Pony just a bit more. Most of this review will contrast the two, so hopefully that's useful. The Pony's positives really add up. I'm tall (6' 5") so the extending legs are great (the Worx is fixed at 30ish inches I believe, whereas this goes +/- about 3 inches from there). The metal bar is slightly inconvenient compared to the Worx, but feels sturdier once set up (and the manufacturer weight limits support that, 500 lbs vs 300 lbs); I've stood on the table and it was absolutely fine. I would have hesitated doing that with the Worx; the ease of setup is great, but sturdiness is the price. The bottom shelf of the Pony is also noticeably sturdier than that of the Worx. The underside of the Pony seems more even and somewhat better for clamping (though both have limitations on this score). And the Pony has quite a few more holes for clamping flexibility. But the clamps! Just clearly better, particularly the medium-duty ones (the light-duty clamps are just that; still quite useful but you can feel they won't stand up to much force). On the negative side, the Worx has a nice full length metal groove that can be used as a saw channel (it's really for the Worx clamps). It runs the whole width, and is far enough from the edge that you can use either part of the table to clamp your work piece. The Pony has a much smaller groove that doesn't run the whole width, so you basically have to run your saw just off the edge of the table. Other minor things include the possibility of pinching your fingers (both on the assembly and the breakdown). The Worx is a little better/safer on this score, but really you just have to be mindful. The rubbery closing straps make the Pony more of a "single unit" to move around (with the Worx, the table arms will extend a bit); I prefer the Pony here but it's no big deal either way. Connecting two tables is built-in on the Worx, but a small clamp or two (and hey, it comes with them) under the Pony does the same thing so it's just slightly less convenient. Overall I think they're both great tables. The Pony is beefier and when you factor in the clamps, it feels like the higher-quality one, but then it's also more expensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.

One of the Best Most Versatile Portable Worktables Out There!
The Pony 2-in-1 Portable Work Table is an amazing addition to a workshop that has limited space or for use at a jobsite. I wish that I had bought one much earlier. I am coming from a 40 year old B&D workmate 400, and this table has made setup, clamping and all round woodworking so much easier. The four Jorgensen clamps are outstanding quality and can be used with or without the table. In conjunction with the supplied wood dogs, you can clamp just about anything, anywhere on the surface of the table. The large clamps store on the lower table shelf, and the new version has no peg sticking up on one end, so the clamps seat easily unlike an earlier version that people had problems with. Both the supplied clamps and my Bessy clamps can be inserted into any of the standard ¾ inch dog holes throughout the table surface to clamp items in a vertical manner. The table sets up quickly once you get the knack of it. From fully collapsed, always step on the bottom foot of the 4 legs and pull up to set the desired height on all legs at once. The variable height is most helpful for different tasks. Having said that, I usually keep the legs set at my standard height and don’t collapse them each time I put the table away - one less step for setup. The rubber straps for keeping the table collapsed are now screwed in at one end, so there is no chance for misplacing them. In collapsed mode, it is very easy to move the table around - light enough to carry, but heavy enough to be stable when working. Once set up, the table is very stable - no rocking on a level surface. On uneven surfaces each of the four legs can be set at different heights for better stability, something which most other portable work tables can’t do. I read and watched a lot of reviews of worktables before making this purchase and I think this is one of the best. I have found the Pony Portable Worktable to be an extremely versatile choice for all around woodworking. I would buy it again without a moment‘s hesitation. A truly great product!
