About 30% of the pages are taken up by the 'rules' of the Death Note, and another 10% of the pages are taken up by the names of the victims Light Yagami wrote down within his notebook; with his exact handwriting. Thus, if you're expecting a fully-clean notebook simply with the outer shell of a Death Note, this isn't for you. There are still 90 clean pages for you to use however you like though. Also, these notebooks have sadly lost their power. So don't waste a page writing down the name of someone you hate... it'll only be a waste of ink... I should know... I saw Nicola Sturgeon on live TV yesterday... Why buy a boring notebook with a flipping cat on it or something when you can buy a notebook with this amount of detail for the same price?

**Q: ...and are the instructions inside etc. is the book lined or plain?**
A: I can also confirm yes the rules are written inside and the paper is lined. But if I were you, don't make the deal for the Shinigami eyes, you just end up seeing everything in a red tint all the time and spec-savers will claim you're delusional and then the staff there will probably all die of heart attacks and you're just sat there trying to figure out the difference between a red and blue pen....

A: Yes its mainly all in English. On some of the pages however, there is some Japanese writing for effect to make it seem more authentic.

Value for money ... Eh. It needs more blank pages. I use this as an actual note book. But a quarter of the notebook is filled with the instructions. And out of the three quarters left. Half of that has "names" on the pages so you can't really use them either. I love the authenticity of the book. But I just wish it had more blank pages for ACTUAL note book use. But regardless of space. I have bought this book twice. I love pulling it out of my bag to make notes. Me andy partner always have a good giggle when people stare at my "DEATH NOTE"
