Hi, does the journal have a pen holder slot, the hold a pen permanently inside the closed journal?

Our Gift Set journal, which comes in a presentation box has a pen holder with a pen also included. The standard journal doesn’t have a pen holder.

Does this notebook/sketchbook open flat or do you have to hold down the pages?

Hi, initially you may need to apply some pressure to hold the pages open at the beginning - it also depends whereabouts you are writing in the journal as there are 5 sections of paper and nearer you are to the middle the more open it will stay. Hope this helps, Moonster
