Q: What battery does the torch take? Initial answer I got was AA but that's not right! Tried AAA too but they're a no-go.

In my package, the torch (a black one which you turn to activate) take 4x LR41 button battery. The torch has a separate plastic case inside to contain the battery.

Yes this is a good kit for putting a PC together. I t contains all the tools you will need. Points to bear in mind. Computer tools should be demagnetised, these are. Working on a carpet is a bad idea. Static is bad news for a computer, I would suggest working on a table or else a piece of hardboard. Always wear an anti static wrist band, this kit contains one. Plug the mains cable into the power socket but do not switch on!. This will also help with static reduction
