KIT & COCO Head Lice & Nits Complete Treatments (150ml)

This product seems to do the job without the nasty chemicals and chemically smell of other types of nit treatment. The coconut smell is not as nice as I thought it would be but it's a big improvement on chemicals. I didn't like the feel of the product on my hands but that might just be me. If your child has long hair, the main thing is to make sure you get plenty of the refills to go with the main pack. The information on the product page says long hair requires 2-3 tubes of treatment but I used 6 or 7 on my daughter's averagely long hair (a couple of centimetres below her shoulders) and could perhaps have used more. Her hair is thick but I was still shocked at how much product we needed. It's immensely hard work massaging the treatment in but I suspect that's the same whichever product you choose (this was our first time with nits). The comb included in the pack is a really good one and the tattoos are quite fun, but the shower cap is not really big enough to get lots of thick hair under properly. Could do with being a bit larger (although when I tried with an adult size one we already had, that was smaller if anything, so perhaps my daughter just has a big head!). Overall, a good choice for nits and would use again.

This is the first time the dreaded headlice have paid us a visit! With an 11 year old and a 5 year old it was going to happen one day, and today was the day that the little one brought them home!I had no idea what products to buy or what worked best, but I wanted something more natural and less harmful. This is where kit and coco comes in. This must be as natural as you can buy as it's coconut and nothing else ( I think ) it works by suffocating the little critters. I used quite a bit of product on my son's hair ( he has long curly hair) he found the shower cap quite amusing until it started to get hot. The rinsing took forever, again I used a lot of product, probably too much!. You do get a good sized tube of treatment. The combing also took a very long time with a wiggling, screaming, impatient little person, but we got there in the end! . There were a few lice on the comb. All dead, so this stuff must work. I really hope I got everything out as I don't fancy repeating the process any time soon. Not that it would be any better with any other treatment, I believe that kit and coco made the best of an unpleasant task. It is easy to use. Natural, and no nasty chemical smells. I would recommend this product

There is lots to like about this. In fact I really liked it, I just wish there was more of it included! This definitely does work, if you have enough of it & It’s much kinder on the scalp than other brands. I’ve seen other reviews of people complaining about the smell of it but I disagree. I suspect they were maybe expecting a pretty, artificial coconut scent, rather than natural coconut oil scent, which is quite different. But the smell is not overbearing or unpleasant at all, it just smells like the natural coconut oil that you cook with. The packaging is really lovely, the little stickers that come with it are a nice touch too and the cap & applicator are fab, nice quality and pretty design. This would have been worth 5 stars but I have one big issue, there is just not enough of it for a family. This is a family kit, but the doses are very, very small. One dose would only be suitable for short and very fine hair, for example on a toddler or pre school age. My daughter has thick, long hair and had to use the whole family kit on her alone and it still wasn’t enough to saturate the hair properly. I have no doubt that this would have been very effective, had there been more realistic dose sizes. Otherwise, this is a really lovely product. Please release with bigger doses and more caps, so the whole family can be treated at once. I would definitely buy again if these changes were made.

This is the first time that I have to deal with head lice so I was unsure about what to buy. I came across this product in Amazon and decided to give it a try. My girls found it ok. My 2 year old didn't complain once, my 6 year old however found the shampoo a bit itchy at the beginning. It doesn't have an unpleasant chemical smell which was good, it just smells of natural coconut oil. You do need to apply a lot and it doesn't go very far... but it was more than enough for my 2 girls, both with very fine long hair. I didn't rate it 5 stars as there were still a few little eggs left behind. I've had to use conditioner every night and the comb to try and get rid of them all.. I would however buy this product again if needed, as I like the natural non chemical aspect of it.

This is really one of the best product in the market. The smell is bearable and the comb is pretty good. My daughter had massive lice & nits infestation. After a single application (we kept it for 45mins), almost all the lice came off (during hair wash and comb) - there wasn't a single lice we could notice in the following days.However, the nits were not really affected (and hence 4 stars). Nits have a sticky shell and are very difficult to remove - I haven't seen any product in the market that is able to remove nits completely. Treating with Vinegar or Tea Tree oil are a few solutions but not super effective.We saw new lice after 7 days (as the eggs hatched) and reapplied this solution to her hair. We will apply again as the next batch hatches, and hopefully that should be last one. I wish this product could also remove the nits.
