LEGO Classic 10697, large creative brick box, 4 Jahre to 99 Jahre,1500 bricks

Some people hit middle age and buy a Porsche. Not me though, I brought Lego. It's changed from how it was when I was a child. Now it's primarily sold in kits and the kids get the parents to build it for them (or perhaps that's just in my extended family). This Classic XXL box is much bigger than it needs to be, in terms of the cardboard box itself. The pieces are separated by colour into little plastic bags and fill up about half of the box. When you tip them out and separate them into like pieces, you find there's a huge colour range now. Much wider than it was back in the day. In practical terms this means that if you want to build a blue wall, you're going to end up with a blue/red/pink wall because there aren't enough blue pieces. That's my main gripe. The box comes over-loaded with small pieces. I didn't like that much. After all, when you're building, you want to build with the big bricks. The small ones are for finishing touches and detail right? There's also quite a few mystery pieces. Shapes that have no purpose you can think of. Again, I didn't like that. Thought it was a waste and a plot by the lego people as a way to bump up the brick count without giving much value. However having spent time playing with the set, I'm beginning to accept the pieces. The trick is to forget how Lego used to be and focus on what it is today with all their weird little pieces. I miss that they haven't included the little lego people - the girl with the black hair and the boy with the blonde hair. I still think they've got the colour thing wrong. If they're going to have so many colours, they need to increase the number of bricks so there's enough bricks of each colour to make it worthwhile. There's a woefully small number of the good sized bricks in the same colour and size. I also think that Lego is seriously over-priced. It's bits of plastic moulded at low cost. Just by the volume sold, economies of scale means that the price is being kept high artificially. But what can you do? It's such a great toy that despite my gripes, I still can't give it less than 5 stars even though I can't quite forgive that the brick count is bumped up by small pieces and you run out of the colour you want in a heartbeat. It's still a box of peace and memories. And it's cheaper than a Porsche.

Well hello big fat massive box of Lego!! A lovely mixture of vibrant and essential colours for creating anything your heart desires. We have hours of fun with this, plenty of bricks for four of us to share and build with. There's a great variety of different types of bricks and we have also tried out numerous designs from inside the booklet included in this set which are simple to follow. A great starter set! We can't wait to expand our collection.

It contains a lot of pieces and some ideas are included in the small booklet that comes with it. Furthermore there is the option to find more ideas on the LEGO website. The box says that there are 1500 pieces, which is te case (maybe there are even some extra) but a lot of these pieces are very tiny, like the one point "bricks". If you want a lot of eight point bricks this might not be the right thing, but if you enjoy the possibilities with the small bricks to make new and diverse structures that are slightly more delicate then this box is ideal.

This is a great box of Lego with lots and lots of different coloured pieces to fire up the imagination of my 5 year old grandson. There are quite a few really small parts which wouldn't suit anyone younger. Also you need a base board to set up your creations. Really quick service well packed and hassle free from supplier.

Loads of pieces but not enough of wheels, had to steal some from other sets to keep my two boys happy, for an xxl box, really there should of been more........

Everything you can sant in a box of lego bar one thing! a proper sized base plate. The lack of this is annoying and lego have clearly cleverly left this out so you have to spend more money getting one of a good size, and, boy are they EXPENSIVE! but otherwise a good buy for the money.

Wenn Eltern wirklich die Kreativität ihrer Kinder fördern wollen, dann sollten Sie keine fertigen Bausätze, sondern diese Box kaufen und schenken. Was daraus schon alles gebaut wurden ... Die Qualität und Haltbarkeit des echten Lego ist immer wieder beeindruckend, die Farben toll. Danke!

Superbe boite , chaque couleur est dans un sac à part , le challenge sera de ne pas les mélanger ;) , si on aime l'ordre sinon laissons faire les petits , ils ont l'art et la manière de la pagaille (joyeuse). Ne pas perdre les pièces , parfois "minusculissime" , sera autrement plus dur ... boite magnifique , à posséder. Un carnet dedans offre moulte possibilités !

This is a great set, the boy, age 10, can actually use his imagination to build things. Before this gift all of his Legos were those expensive kits that they assemble once, then it just takes up space sitting there. He has really gotten into building all sorts of things and engaging his thinking skills. I also purchased Lego Education Wheels set and Klutz book of Chain Reactions for Legos. Turned out to be the perfect combo to invent all sorts of machines. I am hoping he continues to create and explore with these sets.

LEGOシリーズにはマインクラフトシリーズやハリーポッターシリーズなどテーマに沿って目的のものを組み上げていくシリーズが人気ですが、私個人としてはこちらのようなクラシックタイプの方が好きです。基本パーツが1500個入っておりカラーバリエーションも豊富です。ただし人形やタイヤなどの特殊パーツは付属していません。既成のデザインにとらわれることなく自由な発想のもとに自由な作品を作り上げていけるところが魅力です。 我が家ではLEGOデュプロからスタートしクラシックへとステップアップという形で購入しております。遊びやすいようにクラシック用の基礎版を合わせて購入しております。パーツ数が圧倒的に多いので、子供たちは思い思いに多様な作品を組み上げることが出来ています。市販のLEGO用のガイドブックを購入して見ながら遊んでいます。テーマシリーズのLEGOに足して拡張して遊ぶことができるのも魅力です。あるいは必要なパーツのLEGOブロックを買い足していくことも可能です。 ところでLEGOクラシックシリーズにはパーツ数の違いで何種類かが販売されていますが、我が家では長く遊べることを期待してパーツ数が圧倒的に多いこちらのセットを選んでいます。またLEGOのジェネリックというかサードパーティーのブロックも多く販売されていますが、ブロック同士の噛み合わせ具合などは本家が一日の長があるように思います。かなりオススメのセットではないかと感じています。

La caja contiene numerosa cantidad de todo tipo de piezas con las que hacer todo tipo de construcciones. Además no son solo ladrillos, también incluye, muchos tipos de ruedas y ejes de varios tamaños, cristales, piezas raras, puertas, ventanas, etc. En total 1.500 piezas. En general viene con multitud de piezas que ofrecen todo tipo de posibilidades. Viene con un pequeño librito para hacer 6 o 7 cosas básicas como las que se ven en la imagen (tractor, coche, elefante, camaleon...) pero las posibilidades son infinitas y desarrolla mucho la imaginación de los niños. En la web vienen más instrucciones de montajes para tener ideas aunque lo ideal es construir lo que cada uno imagine. Muy recomendable
