Build It! Volume 1: Make Supercool Models with Your LEGO® Classic Set

Great little book. My 5 year old has managed to follow instructions for the items and plenty to choose from.

Lego is always good if a bit expensive the boxes seem to have less bricks in for a greater price.

My 4 year old grandson loves this book. He got the book three weeks ago for Christmas and has made several of the vehicles but the animals require bricks that are not in the basic building sets. For example, a large number of 'round bricks with cross' are needed in different colours to make the animal legs. These can be bought from the lego shop by going to the 'pick a brick' link or at lego.com/en-gb/service/replacementparts/sale/location and cost 10p each. The latter has the full range of bricks and colours but does require either the brick ID number or the design number which may require some research on the web. If you enter the design number (for the round bricks this is 6143) it brings up the full range of colours. It would be helpful if the book gave you the brick ID numbers and for this reason I have given it only 4 stars. However, despite not having all the correct bricks yet my grandson has used the book a lot and has adapted the ideas in the book to create his own models. He is already asking for more books, although I think most of them are for older children.

This was for my Grandson, to give him idea of what to make. He's 4, so now I'm constantly hearing, 'Make this Grandma!'. Lots of lovely ideas in it.

The book uses parts which are not there or colours which are not consistent with new classic Lego boxes. Therefore, it’s of little to no use for a kid to try and make himself.

レゴに付属のレシピブックほど難しくないので少ない数で10〜15分ほどで作ることができます。 表紙にへこみ等ありましたが子どもががしがし使う想定なので気になりませんでした。
