The Very Lonely Firefly

I gave this book to my toddler niece after we saw this story as part of The Hungry Caterpillar stage show. Lovely multilayered story. My niece loves the lights at the end.

Very lovely story to talk with little ones about the dark and of course fireflies. At the end the firefly found another’s fireflies which flash!!! That was a lovely surprise! Great to read at bed time.

As always Eric Carle captivates little ones with his story and the illustrations. This one is especially clever when the lights are low for a bedtime tale.

Love this board book. Allows children a new magic moment in life at the end. Beautiful lights. Its not too obvious to them how it works & I let them open the last page themselves

Good quality but smaller than expected

Bought this after seeing the hungry caterpillar stage show (this was one of the stories done on stage). My 3 year old daughter was enchanted by the story on stage and loves this book too.

It’s a book I was read as a child, and it is a book I will read to my own. Colourful, light reading. It has the added light feature on the last page, which the kids will love! Don’t leave the book open as the lights will die and you cannot change the batteries.
