Miracle-Gro Feeder Unit, Connects Straight to a Garden Hose, use with Miracle-Gro All Purpose Soluble Plant Food

Very good garden gadget, made with good quality plastic , easy to use. I am using regular from couples of years with Miracles powder with it recommended and it's amazing result in my garden. Those one I ordered for my friend.

This feeder attached to my Hozelock hose without any fuss and spreads the feed evenly, making lawn care quick and simple. Just be careful with any liquid left in the bottle at the end—it's still strong concentrate, and applying it directly can scorch the grass (as I learned the hard way).

Wow, am I glad I bought this. Instead of lumping a water can back and forth, this little baby allowed feeds with the hose. Just Brilliant!

I have been using this type of feeder for many years and have always found them easy to use and the main attraction is watering plants and feeding them at the same time.

I still have the original style feeder bought 30+ years ago and manufactured by ICI. Nothing wrong with it, but I thought I might try the newer version guessing it would be an upgrade. How wrong was I. This new version is opaque and apart from a narrow window it is impossible to see the water level. With the old version the water level went down, but not the case with this one, so it’s almost impossible to tell when or if the food has been used up. The advert clearly states this comes with plant food, but it doesn’t. I ordered it twice to see if one contained food, but neither did. I was aware other people had the same problem. Definitely a case of mis-selling in my world. As this item is vastly overpriced and as a matter of principle I tried to get in touch with the seller via their website. As someone else has said, this site only allows you to use it if you are based in USA or Canada. I then tried to get I touch with Amazon customer services but that wasn’t easy. Eventually I managed to find the link for instant messaging. I was offered the option of a refund if I returned the spray, but I could have arranged that myself without all the hassle I had gone through. I refused that offer and insisted I wanted to keep the spray but wanted the food sent to me. Eventually I was offered 20% off which I accepted because I already had my own miracle gro food. Would I recommend this item, probably not. NB With the original version the instructions were to cover the water jet section with the palm of your hand when you turned on the water and opened the valve. This allowed the container to fill and as the water level raised the pressure forced you to remove your hand. This meant the granular solution was mixed properly. The instructions also told you to hold it upright, but turn it upside down when you wanted to empty any surplus solution from the bottle. By turning it upside down the solution drained far quicker than it was ever meant to. If you use the upside down method you will use far more solution than you ever need to. I should add I have never used a whole bag of granules at a time, because it’s not necessary. A couple of centimetres on the bottom is enough. I still follow the original instructions!

Works fine

This is good and bad. For me it doesn't work that well and I'm pretty sure it's because the pressure isn't high enough from my external outlet. If I fill the reservoir with the granules and hold the unit upright to spray like it says in the directions it never really picks up the fertilizer, i.e if I open the reservoir it remains dark blue no matter how long I spray the yard. There is an easy way to make it work, and that's pointing the unit face down perpendicular to the lawn instead of holding it level. It works perfectly like that for me and gravity helps draw the fertilizer out. I think if you have better water pressure you won't have this problem but even if you do you can still make it work. This thing saves a ridiculous amount of time even from my tiny yard. I was fertilizing with a watering can and it took me absolutely ages filling up the can going back and forth. I didn't appreciate how much time it would save me until I bought it.

This sprayer is perfect to spray the miracle gro powder on my plants. Its easier then mixing in a watering can and saves having to lift something heavy. Highly recomnend.

My old sprayer wore out after several years of Yeoman service. This one looks so cool! All big and shiny, with a larger container and what feels like a sure grip and strong seal. I'm looking forward to putting it through it's paces.

I have been looking for this for a while. When you use it the first time, do not forget to mix the water in the container. And the Hose fits on all connections. I have the European quick adapter. And there is an adaptor, to hook it straight to the water hose. In less than 5 days it was here. Happy customer!!!
