It isn't always easy to create a double-tracked vocal without dubbing over your own vocal. (I have another device which gives me automatic harmonies while singing and playing, but its "double" setting is not as convincing as the TC-Helicon is). On the TIGHT setting the Helicon D1 gives two distinct voices in perfect unison but offset by a fraction of a second. The LOOSE setting makes it sound like the two voices are not exactly the same, just like two people singing together would sound. It has a few other settings that you can experiment with, but I'm happy to stick with the double-track effects. You won't believe how good you can sound! It has a very useful microphone gain control too. The mic input and out sockets are for standard XLR 3-pin plugs. There are other pedals in the same pattern, designed to work with it, such as reverb. These pedals are very good quality, and great value for money.

It is simple to use and works well
I needed a simple way of adding harmonies to my songs. This is simple to use and works well. Simply play your guitar through and it adjusts to the key or use the dial. I like it. I warn you that if you sing out of tune it will split that into harmonies too! Great box and great value

Brilliant effects.
I enjoy using this unit and the audiences like it too. The effects enhance the voice and make it bigger in the mix. The range of settings is useful. Some confidence with tech jargon is a definite advantage if you wish to get the most out of this unit. Otherwise you are stuck with the default setup, which is just fine.Bear in mind the fact that you will still probably wish to add reverb. For that, I recommend the Boss VE-1.

For mahout harmonies only
Doesn’t work for minor harmonies, for major keys sounds great.

RE: The perfect accompaniment
Works well, not obtrusive and adds a lot of depth to my voice. It also makes me sound like a choir when i want to. Excellent value

Love it
Wanted one for ages. Had something similar but found it hard to understand and drive. This does the voice doubling easily and has other options that are useful.I use it in conjunction with a Mic-Mechanic from TC-Helicon - great products for vocalists.
