CAMKIXWaterproof Telescopic Pole/Floating Hand Grip compatible with Gopro Hero and DJI Osmo Action

I purchased this product for being able to make the best pictures in pools and swimming in the see. Especially for swimming in the see, this bobber is useful because you can put your keys of your hotel in the waterproof storage compartment. The pole is not very long so it's not ideal for e.g. taking photos of a large group of people (pole can only extend to 15.7"). But for simple selfie-shots, it's long enough. I do not recommend to extend this pole while under water because water might come in the pole itself. If you extend it to the desirable length before usage, there's no problem.You can use this pole as bobber by replacing the transparant pole by a tripod adapter mount (included). It's a regular tripod screw so you can use this adapter for other tripods too! Also, on the bottom of the bobber, there's a female tripod screw. I use this when I want to quickly place the bobber on a tripod for steady shots at the pool.

Bought for a trip of a lifetime to the Maldives to put a cheap action camera on so it floated if I dropped it and could get me closer to marine life when snorkelling. Pleased to say it worked really well. Assembly was a little tricky so loses a mark for easy to use but when connected to my camera it is easy to extend and retract as well as carry around due it being lightweight. It does float (hurray!) when dropped in water and it reasonably waterproof although as some other reviewers have said if you try to use the extend/retract mechanism underwater then it would fill with water but as long as you do the extending & retracting above water then it is water tight. Will happily keep and reuse in future.

Very sturdy plastic! Water did get into the pole, but I don't remember if I extended while in the water or if it were due to leaks in the seal! Either way it wasn't much water as it was only a few drops. Overall a well built product.

This is a great product, great company but the issue I've had twice now is the strap's clip is hard when closing and it broken while trying to close.other issue I've had with the selfie stick has a mirror on the stick, it just randomly came off itself. I have ordered a lot of things from CamKix but don't really expect this from the company. hope this helps.

Being all plastic no worries about sticking the handle in sand to use a mono tripod on the beach and keep the camera out of the sand when not in use.The handle is hollow for storage and filling with water, £1 or €1 coins will fit inside, handy to pay for beach touts and wait the handle down when using as mono pod on table.The handle has a rubber coating to ensure good grip even with sun tan oiled hands. The wrist strap is a good width to reduce cutting into wrist when in use and the quick clip allows for easy adjustment.The adjustable shaft is a bit bulky compared to others but strength and ability to knock down the parts for different use makes up for it.The short handle mount fits onto standard camera tripod so added bonus of not having to purchase additional item.We have not extended the pole under water yet but no doubt one of the kids will try, durability again will have to wait for acid test by kids and teenagers over summer.

The product did the job as it should, and the quality of the product matches what I expected for the price.I tried to extend the pole to fully extended, but the pole didn't seem that sturdy in that position, so I used the pole extended to a maximum of about 75%. I'd recommend to do the same to not risk breaking it.I tried the product many times while snorkeling and swimming in both lake and sea, up for an hour at a time without a single leak. Despite the older Gopro 2 being a bit larger and heavier, the handle easily kept the camera afloat. The grip also got used and bumped around a bit while we were driving a small speed boat, so it is sturdy enough for regular selfie stick use as well. A good product for its price level, and a good insurance to avoid having your Gopro sinking to the bottom!

This product is perfect. I got it for my son for holidays in the pool with his GoPro. worked perfectly and lasted the test of being thrown around and dropped all holiday. Was a bit nervous as the camera is expensive and this item in comparison is reasonably cheap which made me worry the build quality wouldn't be very good? If you're reading this with the same worry I would say don't be and just get it bought. Superb item.

Bought this item to use when snorkeling on holiday. Go Pro fits well and unit compacts down to small size. Handy double feature of floating handle as well as longer telescopic set up. Wifi does not work under water but set camera for multiple images and you can get really close to your marine subjects without disturbing them! Had a fault with the camera mount. Emailed the company and never had such a quick reply from a company who resolved the problem 2 days after I raised it! 1st class service. Would recommend but be aware about wifi.

Funciona perfectamente con mi go pro. Grabé un vídeo muy padre de los cenotes. Es de muy buena calidad u funciona como debe funcionar.

soy consumidora d ego pro des de hace mas de 10 años y me gusta protegerlas al maximo. sobretodo porque las uso debajo del agua y a profundidad. esta carcassa funciona muy bien y es de calidad. la he usado todo el verano y no he tenido ningun problema. flota. lo que no usaria el compartimento para guardar nada que no quieras mojar, por si acaso.

I purchased this item to use my GoPro on a trip to Florida where we would be going swimming with manatees and riding on an airboat. In both instances I wanted something short to hold in my hand to give me better control over the GoPro and something that would float in case I dropped it. This product worked great. The handle is rubbery and provided a nice grip while wet. The tube within the grip stayed dry after 1 1/2 hours in the water. It was light weight and floated so it was easy to handle and I was not worried about dropping it (although it comes with a safety wrist strap which I used). I liked that you had the option of only using the handle separately. I did not use the extension for this trip. But I played with it a bit and it seems sturdy. It is made of plastic and I suppose if you really torqued it, it would break. But it seemed solid enough for its purpose. I would recommend this item to a friend.

Works Great, I took it into the water with no issues. Floats and you can keep money stored in the cylinder. My only comment is that my remote did not fit into the remote holder. No worries, the remote doesn't work underwater anyway.
