A must-read!
The book title is prefaced with the saying: Quick Tips For Busy Caregivers. As a busy mother, wife, and full time student, I appreciated that this book was a quick and easy read. I really appreciated how the author laid out each chapter starting with a "In this chapter, you will learn" section and ending with a "Tips and Takeaways" section that recaps the most important things to remember. This format really helped me retain what I was learning. The author, Dr. Celeste Roseberry, is delightful and includes many of her own life experiences as a mother and speech language pathologist in this book. Her stories and examples put a smile on my face as I read and reflected on my moments of parenting throughout the years. Dr. Roseberry is relatable and offers imperative and wonderful research-backed advice. I wish I could transport back in time and have this book when my baby was first born, as it is an incredible resource! However, even though my "baby" is now eleven, this book was still relevant for me and I learned a lot that I can implement with my son today (especially about establishing boundaries and respectful behavior, the impacts of screen time, and how I should communicate with my son when praising him).I highly recommend this book! It is apparent that Dr. Roseberry has a passion for educating caregivers so that we can have the best resources to set our children up for success. I am always learning from my mistakes as a parent, and this book gave me the reassurance that I needed. She ended with recounting what her then three-year old son Mark had said to her, "Give me you." which meant "Your love is the best gift of all." (99) I absolutely loved that!Lastly, I love that Dr. Roseberry offers additional complimentary access to multiple learning tools and material in this book. She truly cares! This book is a must-read!~Holly J.

A must-read for supporting children's early speech and language development!
In this easy-to-read and accessible book, Dr. Celeste Roseberry-McKibbin shares her vast knowledge and expertise to highlight many ways that parents and other caregivers can stimulate young children’s speech and language development in their everyday activities. The book includes an overview of “what to expect” as a child is developing speech and language skills, along with numerous concrete strategies that caregivers can apply to support and enhance children’s ability to develop loving attachment bonds, to engage in early conversations, to respect boundaries, to speak clearly, to embrace the many benefits of multilingualism and multiculturalism, to develop pre-reading skills, to prepare for formal schooling, and, ultimately to learn to read.Dr. Roseberry-McKibbin is an expert at making these complex concepts easy for non-specialists to understand and straightforward to apply in the real world. Readers will particularly appreciate the caring and supportive focus of the book: “how to love, talk to, and read with…babies and young children.”A world-renown researcher and clinician, Dr. Roseberry-McKibben has been recognized with Fellowship and Honors of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the professional organization for speech-language pathologists. The book includes numerous examples drawn from her extensive experience with child language development both in the clinic and in the laboratory, as well as in her personal life, as she shares numerous anecdotes related to her son Mark’s development of reading skills. These anecdotes give the book a very personal touch, as readers develop a deep connection to the author. Readers can tell from page 1 just how much Dr. Roseberry-McKibbin cares about children and families. Her passion for helping young readers is apparent on every page. That makes this a must-read book for parents, grandparents, and others who seek to support young children in their development of speech and language skills. If you have a young child in your life, I urge you to read this book now!

Excellent resource!
Wow there is a lot of information in this little book! It's also very easy to read and based on current research in all areas discussed. I really loved the emphasis on the big, everyday topics, like how to personally connect with your child, technology, gaining cooperation, etc. These are the issues parents are dealing with on a daily basis.Every parent and child are absolutely unique, so parents may have to do their own trial and error to see what works for them specifically, but the guidance in this book will be valuable. Overall I found this to be an excellent, sometimes fun, relatable guide and resource for parents.

What a great resource for parents!
I had the pleasure of reading this book by respected speech-language pathologist and author, Dr. Celeste Roseberry-McKibben. As expected from this author, this book is excellent! It’s written in a way that is easy to understand and very relatable. It is informative and serves as a great “how-to” guide for stimulating a child’s speech and language development. As the former director of a pediatric speech-language pathology department, I wish this book had been available earlier. I would have recommended it to many of our parents.

Wonderful Resource for Parents
Dr.Roseberry speaks from the her experience, and from the heart. I appreciate that she also included access to other complimentary materials on her website. This gives parents the opportunity to put activities into action, and help their children. In addition, she has included her YouTube channel, which demonstrates what these activities look like in practice. Truly an amazing resource, and piece of work.Sincerely, Becky Hunter

Thank you
A very helpful and useful tool not only for the caregivers but also for the professionals therapists. It contains a lot of information, examples and suggestions written in simple language which we can give to our clients. Τhe most important thing is that the writer makes clear the meaning of unconditional love and support that we all have to show to every child.
