Q: What type of wall can the seat be mounted on?

I would only be comfortable fitting the seat to a solid wall. If you have a stud wall it would be best to ask a carpenter/builder for advice.

The standard of stud walls varies quite a bit. If it’s decent, say 4x2”, and you can screw directly into the stud battens, then yes. If you’re relying on expanding wall plugs, designed for plaster board, I’d be doubtful. If it’s cement board, designed for shower surround then maybe OK. The issue is that the holes, on the part that sits on the wall, are fixed distances apart and it is unlikely both sides would match up the stud battens. If you’re building the stud wall, then you could insert cross pieces to match the wall plate.

Hello, Folded dimensions: 38.5 cms wide, 29 cms high, widest point at pivot point 7.5cms deep Open dimensions: Front of seat to wall 29cms, front of seat to back rest (Inc round pivot) 25cms , actual seat depth 22.5cms

Sorry, several years since I bought this, don’t know. But it is well made and folds out of the way. Do follow the recommendations on the fitting height, otherwise it could be too high!
