Focal aria906wn Speaker for MP3 & iPod Nuts

First off - ignore the sorta dumb 'header' on Amazon's listing of this item ('for MP3 and iPod nuts') as that does these speakers a complete injustice. These are true hi-fi, outstanding quality speakers - perfect for pairing with any mid to high-end hifi system. I bought these to replace KEF LS50 speakers - which were excellent, very transparent and detailed - but somehow lacked drive and sparkle. I'd read in some reviews here about the Focal Aria maybe lacking in bass. This is simply not true. They have an authentic bottom-end ability, and as forward-firing bass reflex speakers, they can be easily place vis-a-vis walls, with no 'boominess' to worry about. The Focal Arias deliver a refined, detailed, yet robust and muscular sound. I listen mostly to jazz, classical, piano and vocal music - and the Arias are utterly compelling with all those genres. The build is of a very high quality also. The Arias are likely to be my speakers of choice for as long as I can imagine - they really are that good. Heartily recommended. Oh, and I bought these at £699 - whilst at time of this review they are down to £649 - a true bargain (especially compared to the KEF LS50s at £799!).

First heard these at a what hifi show and was so impressed I had to get a pair, equally impressed having bought them, they're amazing for the money, superb soudstage and detail, crystal clear treble and impressive bass too

Non mi sento ancora in grado di poter esprimere un parere complessivo sui diffusori, avendoli ascoltati per poche ore e dovendoli quindi ancora "rodare". Vengo da Tannoy Mercury e, in ogni caso, la qualità complessiva del suono mi sembra decisamente migliore sia come dettaglio che come ampiezza della scena. Mi riservo di aggiornare finito il rodaggio.
