Best mechanical pencil ever
It’s such a great pencil and writes so smoothly that I sometimes forget that it’s a pencil. The rotating mechanism inside ensures that it always stays in shape and never feels scratchy on any paper I have tried it on. Bought it for my daily planner, but now I use it in Murdle as it’s really easy to erase. It feels really comfortable to hold as you’re writing or drawing. Works perfectly well with my mini aluminium ruler.

So good, I bought 2!
These pencils are excellent. The clutch mechanism works great and the grip is good. Very light, though still feel good in the hand. I've dropped mine a few times and it hold up well.I bought another, one for the backpack and one to keep at the desk.

Nice enough mechanical pencil
Good grip and feels solid enough, but can't help admit it's a tad expensive. Overall, decent product but pricing could be a bit competitive.

The rotation mechanism is not designed to feed the lead - it keeps the tip evenly sharp
I read the current top review for this pencil which states that the rotation mechanism feeds the lead so that minimal clicking (to feed the lead) is needed. WRONG! The rotation mechanism ONLY rotates the lead so that the end is kept sharp and so that there is no flat edge as you would get with other mechanical pencils. After thinking my pencil wasn't working properly (as I had to click the top just as often as with any other pencil), I did a bit more research and reading and realised that the rotation mechanism is not supposed to, and of course does not, feed the lead. The pencil itself looks good and feels a medium weight with a relatively low centre of gravity for writing comfort and balance.Part of the pencil of metallic, but some is plastic (finished to look metallic).Mine came with 2 leads (one loaded into the nib already and one loose inside the pencil. The soft edge and harder core lead seems to work well and I haven't had a single breakage with these leads. At full RRP this is a pricey pencil but I got at a lower price and I'm happy with the purchase.

Simply the best pencil I've ever used, great for maths
I just had to give this 5 starts as I need a pencil for studying A level maths and this is the best pencil I've ever owned.Previously I've tried disposal mechanical pencils and a Staedtler Mars micro 5.0mmThe auto rotate (stay sharpe feature) that many say doesn't work, appears not to do anything I definitely don't notice it doing anything and my lead would still blunten and I myself quested if it really worked or just had some kind of placebo effect. However upon returning to my Staedtler for a day (couldn't find my Kuru Toga) I soon noticed the Staedtler blunted much quicker and easier. I therefore conclude the the rotation stay sharpe feature does work pretty well and although not perfect I really couldn't do without this feature anymore, I actually love this feature. The quality of this pencil is very good though unfortunately only the bottom half is aluminium the rest is aluminium look plastic although this maybe slightly cheapens the look and feel it is still a very solid and attractive pencil.I actually felt quite posh using this in maths class, default the best pencil and smatest looking pencil in my class.I really don't know how easy it would be to source replacement rubbers for the top but I don't really care as I like to use my large quality rubber which I already own.Personally I prefer the Staedtler leads as they Seth to write smoother so I buy replace 5.0mm lead from them. Any 5mm lead should fit fine.If like to point out that the Staedtler I've been comparing to is an excellent quality pencil and perhaps better value (depending on current prices) but I simply prefer the Kuru Toga.I'm actually after a 3mm pencil now and won't buy any other brand, once you've tried a Kuru Toga there's no going back.On that note I'll end this review with a few pictures, hope you have found it useful

Fantastic pencils
I have bought a number of these mechanical pencils as my work colleagues keep pinching them. They are vastly superior to normal pencils and the leads are very tough and keep sharp and do not break. A really good price and a nice heavy duty feel.

Excellent mechanical pencil
This is a very well made mechanical pencil. I already previously purchased this, and it has been in constant use for about 2 years now to draw out designs. It does what it says and self sharpens - the lines are always consistent. But it's getting a bit faulty now, so have bought another one as a back up.

Best writing implement out there.
I work in engineering, and Engineers love their pencils. Pens are all very well, but tend not to work too well when you're scribbling on a scrap of paper against a wall. I want a good pencil. This one is great! The Kuru Toga 'engine' rotates the nib each time you lift if off the paper so you always have a sharp point, it's comfortable to hold and the supplied lead is very smooth and nice to write with. It's also pretty robust - I usually use a 0.7mm lead pencil simply because I break the leads so often, but the 0.5 on this one is fine. I've yet to break the tip off in normal use. It's lovely to write or sketch with, and balances in the hand well, and feels well made and sturdy. The only slight annoyance is the cap on the eraser tends to fall off, but if you crush it ever-so-slightly it will then stay in place.Brilliant pen, with a fun bit of engineering thrown in. I like it so much, I use this one for writing, and have ordered several more in different barrel colours to put colour leads into. No more pens for me.
