A lovely restoration of an old series
This has been remastered and although in 4:3, is in my opinion absolutely beautiful. Do remember to press audio button on your player to select English.

Switching from French to English
The Series is very well recorded both visually & sound wise, with well set out & easy to follow episodes.....The only difficulty which we encountered & others not requiring French will also encounter...was switching from the French to change the language to English. There is not the usual Language Choice ie Toggle to change language...near the beginning of the disc....and when I wrote to the supplierwas informed that "pressing audio" would change it over.However....one needs to wait until the selected episode commenced playing....before selecting audio...for this change to occur.........unlike most others we have encountered, where this option & sometime other languages, are able to be preselected very simply by a screenshowing choices of languages & operation is via the normal toggle system

Good transfer to Blu-Ray, but it is in French.
Seemingly good transfer to blu-ray.It is however, primarily in French, this is not immediately obvious from the sale page, but all menus and box-art are French. It has the English version on it, but must be selected. As I cannot find this box set on Amazon in anything but French, guess I have to keep it.

Expensive
This is an extremely expensive boxset. Agreed it's great to have it on bluray. But the fact that you pay over £150 when postage is added (which you shouldn't have to pay for on such an expensive item) is a bit cheeky.David Suchet is great as the Belgian detective. But I'd reccomend only considering this, if you're really desperate to see it on bluray.
