Worth every penny!
As a 21 year old male I'm not usually one for buying kitchen gadgets online, but I go through a few pineapples a week and I figured I'd search for something to cut out (*pardon the pun) the hassle of coring and slicing them. So I had a browse on here and picked this one because it was cheap and had great reviews. I bought it out of curiosity more than anything. And wow was it worth it, what a brilliant little gadget! Turns what is usually a hassle of a job (that puts so much pineapple to waste), into something super quick and efficient. Simply take off the top of the pineapple, stick the gadget in, twist the whole way down til you reach the bottom and slide it back up all sliced, saving all the juicy goodness! Easy and quick to clean, too. I'll be getting plenty of use out of it!

Cores well.
I was disappointed to see gaps in the metal that I suspected pineapple would get caught in, and it does. It’s a shame. It’s easy enough to get out with a bit of picking at it, but it’s a shame you can’t just rinse it as I can with my mums plastic one. I thought I’d be environmentally conscious and avoid plastic, and I still think it was the right thing to do, it’s just a shame. Otherwise, it does a good job of coring a pineapple and so works well in terms of its purpose. Just felt like the little gaps were unnecessary and it could have been a better product.

Easy to use, easy to clean and good results
What a great kitchen gadget! This makes coring and slicing a pineapple the work of just a few moments. Simply cut off the crown of the pineapple, line up the centre of the gadget with the core, apply slight pressure and rotate clockwise to 'screw' the blade into the pineapple. By the time you reach the bottom of the fruit, you'll have one long, continuous spiral of cored pineapple, ready to snip into neat slices around 1cm in thickness. I used this in making a pineapple upside-down cake and it worked very well indeed. Cleaning is very easy and the tool seems sturdy, with a good, comfortable grip.

Best gadget ever
Must admit I was really sceptical about this, but for the price thought I’d give it a go. It’s fab - really quick and easy to use and works brilliantly. Perfect pineapple rings, no juice wasted, no mess, and you can use the left behind pineapple shell as a vessel for pina colada cocktails or it’s great as an alternative to pumpkin carving at Halloween (it works on watermelon too). A quick rinse under the tap and it’s good to go again. Would definitely recommend.

Not sure how sturdy this is
Bought as a present for a friend. Sadly he managed to break it within no time. I’m unsure if he is stronger than his wife thinks. OR slightly faulty
