The USB C socket is sunken and some of the USB C cords have a wider plug surround, therefore don't sit tight on the connector. One has to shave away some plastic around the USB C port in order to have certain cords sits flush and secure. This doesn't not seems to be a problem on the version with only 3 power outlets and the USB A and USB A module, judging by the company provided pictures.

I use this on my desktop. I'm not at my desk all the time so it is a great spot to have and to charge things on. I needed a 8 or 10 ft power cord to reach the outlet. I'm happy

Easy install and very functional.

I would find it hard to rate this outlet box anything but 5 stars. It is the nicest, cleanest socket box that I have run across and the metal case and lid are very substantial as well as nice looking. I checked the USB charging ports and they deliver a perfect 5.1 volts. The box can be mounted with the lid facing either direction. There is room to close the lid and still run cords out but unless you have a very limber cord it's still going to lift a bit. That doesn't bother me but might some folks. Since the devices I plug in are test instruments on my table I prefer to have the opening facing me but on an office desk you might prefer it facing away from you. In any case it is easily switchable.

I have a very nice old desk that I bought brand new for my first home office over 30 years ago. It's without drawers and isn't wired for electricity, but it's big. It holds two monitors, a keyboard, books, and many other things I work on throughout the day. I'm much older and I have a difficult time crawling under the desk to plug things in I was looking for a multi-outlet extension that wouldn't take up any desktop space. I wasn't aware they made flush-mount outlets until I saw this one. Yes, you do have to cut a hole in the desktop, but in my case, with nothing but air underneath, that didn't pose a problem. Once the cuts are made, the outlet box slides in place with no issue, and then all you do is plug it in. You can plug in up to 3 separate electronics and charge up to 2 devices with the built-in charging ports. The outlets sit below the desktop, so your cables disappear through a dustcover and go into the outlet box. I love it. Thank you so much!

When I first opened this up, I was very surprised at how durable it felt and thought this was a really good item for my desk needs. Although, it feels like a quality product, I was disappointed that whenever there are cords plugged in, the door flap doesn't close all the way down. It stays popped open a little bit. I was looking for something that closes flush. I'm really glad I checked this beforehand, before installing on my desk. If the door won't close all the way, I have no desire to use it for it's intended purpose.
